JUBEST 36"x96" Pocket Door Frame Kit with 120LBS Soft Close Mechanism

I went into this project with great hesitation, and I really did not want a pocket door. Once I put my plan together and got this kit, kind of as a value package, I have to say I am extremely impressed!The build quality of this is very great with the quality of wood and metal that they chose and how square and well assembled everything is.The slow clothes feature is very, very nice, gives it a nice glides and is also adjustable with where it triggers to shut softly.This pocket door definitely became almost a centerpiece of the project with how well it turned out and though it’s not finished in the pictures, it works well and was definitely a great budget option, especially for a DIY’er!!

PRO: Best system for the price point. You’ll find nicer kits for more money, but for this price point, they put the quality where it counts. Roller bearings for the slider, gas springs for the soft close mechanism, and tapered blocks for the bottom guide (so the paint doesn’t rub off). I’d buy this kit again.CON: the instructions took an afternoon to digest and figure out. They aren’t the best. But once you figure out what’s happening, the install goes quickly for subsequent installs.

Was a bit intimidated but it went smoothly following the instructions and it works great- I definitely recommend! Now to figure out how to trim the door.

Challenging to install without being mechanically inclined. I installed four of these kits in my 1920’s cottage. Insulation was very simple, assuming you can read and interpret instructions well. Literally took about 30min per door. Every aspect of these door kits were consistent and fit perfectly. I did replace the plastic door guides with metal angle brackets with felt cabinet bumpers which helps the doors track much easier and stable during operation. Would definitely recommend to competent installers.

Fit was great, and assembly was fairly easy. The instructions are pretty good and easy to follow. I'm confident it will hold up well.However, the product came premarked for cutting for a 24" door (which is what I'm using). One of the marks was correct but one was off by a lot. I did my own measuring so it was fine but just be warned, don't assume the marks are right.Second, I recommend pre drilling for the screws that go into the header. The wood used can split pretty easily.

The installs went well. Good instructions. Nice piston action on opening and closure. I also had some questions of their customer service. Very good follow through.

This is a great sliding door kit. Easy to assemble and a good price. The hangers have easily held a 70lb solid wood door. Everything fit together well. Will definitely purchase again

My wife and I bought this kit for a pocket door we wanted to add to our home renovation. The soft close mechanism worked for a day, then failed. We followed the instructions to reset the mechanism and it failed again. I reached out through the company website that is prompted through Amazon and have not heard anything from the company. The kit is very nice other than this failure, but the soft close feature is what attracted me to it. All I asked for was a replacement part sent so that I can utilize the soft close feature.We used a hollow core door so we are not anywhere close to the 88 pound weight limit.

Works great, easy to install

Kit was definitely nicer then the old wore out one I replaced. The steel bars seems sturdier then the wood kind. Too bad the kit doesn't included the self tapping screws needed for steel supports had to make a trip to hardware store. Soft close is nice feature but does make a little harder for small kids to close door.I hate pocket doors for the fact you got to tear down walls to fix or replace so if your unsure or unhandy you might want to hire this job out lol.

Installed this following the detailed instructions and had absolutely no issues. I’ve heard installing pocket doors are an absolute pain in the backside however, I had no issues and it went very smoothly. Highly recommend.
