Lighter than the boot the doctor Office gave me for non-weight-bearing.
I had Achilles surgery and when I came out of my cast, the doctor gave me a boot from his office. The boot was very heavy and hurt just to wear as a stabilizer… non-weight-bearing. I purchased this boot that was much lighter as a stabilizer non-weight-bearing. When the doctor told me, I could start taking a step or two in the boot and okayed this food for a step or two I started using this boot. It’s perfect. It’s great! The boot from the doctors office was $150. As of right now using this boot as a stabilizer and only taking one to two steps it is perfect! I am not walking in this boot for a long periods of time just one or two steps. The quality of the boot has held up well.

Seems sturdy and seem like it would do the job but my son would not wear it so I returned it.

Better for travelling in Automobiles
This ankle-high orthopedic boot made it easier for me to travel with my post surgical foot than the knee-high orthopedic boot I had been sent home with after my cast was removed. With the other boot, I had a lot of difficulty getting into and out of my car. Though I did not receive the correct item in my original delivery, Amazon quickly responded by shipping me the corrected order, as soon as I contacted customer service about not getting the item I had ordered. They sent the correct order immediately and apologized for the mix-up (even let me keep the item they had sent by mistake). I will still use my taller, higher quality boot for long term indoor use, but this boot makes it much easier to get in and out of automobiles, and it's a lot cooler in warm weather.
