Ubiquiti PoE Adapter for Protect WiFi Cameras

I recently picked up the Ubiquiti UACC-Adapter-PoE-USBC to give my Protect G4 Instant camera a wired PoE connection, and it’s been a game-changer. It’s tiny and lightweight—about 3 ounces and a slim cylinder Setting it up was really simple. Just plug the RJ45 PoE cable into the adapter and the USB-C end into the camera. The transition from Wi-Fi to wired works seamlessly, and the camera picks up the gigabit connection immediately. I also appreciate the thoughtful safety features. The polycarbonate housing feels sturdy, and it includes ESD/EMP protection—8 kV air and 4 kV contact—so it’s reliable even in riskier environments. **What I liked:** * **Compact and easy to install**—no bulk, just plug and go. * **Turns USB-C cameras into wired PoE devices**—great for more stable power and data. * **Durable design with solid surge protection**—peace of mind in varied conditions. * **Works flawlessly with G4 Instant **Things to note:** * The adapter doesn't come with a USB-C cable, and some early camera models used a USB-C power-only cable that may not support data. Bought it for the echo smart hub to power it over Ethernet. Unfortunately, the hub needs both 9V 1.4A and 5v 2.4A, and this only provides the latter. Seems like a good product, well built, quite expensive, but would recommend if you need itfor something like the g4 camera, NOT echo smart hub.

Als absoluter UniFi-Fan habe ich bereits diverse Geräte im Einsatz und auch dieser Adapter macht absolut verlässlich genau das, was er soll. Ich nutze ihn speziell für den Anschluss einer UniFi USB-Kamera, was reibungslos funktioniert. Der große Vorteil: Der USB-C-Ausgang ist universell und kann natürlich auch für jedes andere Gerät genutzt werden. Wer in seinem Netzwerk sowieso viel auf PoE (Power over Ethernet) setzt, macht hier absolut nichts falsch. Es ist einfach so viel praktischer und sauberer, als für jedes Kleingerät extra wieder eine Steckdose belegen zu müssen. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
