vegepod - Raised Garden Bed - Self Watering Container Garden Kit with Protective Cover, Easily Elevated to Waist Height, 2 Years Warranty (Medium, Trolley)

When we purchased the Vegepod, we considered the base units available for it. Since we are getting older, we decided it would be better to have the unit raised up. The choices were a stationary platform or one with wheels. We have this on our concrete patio so it made sense to get the base with wheels. The raised bed is now at a perfect waist-high. The protective cover is also good to have since we have deer in the neighborhood and this prevents them from eating our veggies before we can. :-) The base unit itself can be a challenge putting together. As with the Vegepod, I suggest watching the videos the company has available on their website before you start. That certainly helps reduce your effort when you open the box. The base unit is solid and coated metal so it should not rust. The wheels are especially nice since you can easily move the Vegepod around to find a good, sunny spot. The unit with wheels cannot be used on grass. Once you add the soil to the Vegepod, it becomes very heavy and the wheels would sink right into the ground. All in all this is an excellent purchase!

Recently purchased the small trolley after having purchased the small and medium Vegepods and medium trolley about 2 years. It's sturdy and easy to maneuver. Both Vegepods and medium trolley have survived 2 growing seasons exposed to harsh elements, so far. The trolley was easy to put together, but the instructions could be presented more clearly. Mine were blurry and the diagrams of the pieces were hard to see. Instructions aside, it's a great product.

Recommend keeps me from bending

I purchased the small vegepod with the trolley cart and winter cover. The instructions are not well written so use the YouTube videos for assembly. The trolley was the hardest to assemble. The pod was easy to assemble. I did not connect the hose as I will be using this on my deck. I plan to plant celery and hope the winter cover will allow me to do so all year round. It's still cold outside in the midwest so I will update to let you know if the celery made it. Update - I live in the midwest and we've had really strong winds and my cover did not move. I have not managed to get anything to successfully grow. The small size trolley will tip over depending on how the wind blows.

Love the versatility of the Vegepod Medium Trolley! I purchased this version so I could use the stand in two ways if needed. I will use on wheels on patio for now, but like the idea of being able to remove wheels and bars from bottom if I want it to sit in mulch/grass. Solid structure! Fairly easy to put together since I watched video on Vegepod US site. Warranty was important in deciding to purchase. Glad I purchased!

If you get a medium VegePod, you NEED this if it will be on a concrete floor!! Top Quality, easy to assemble, great instructions. It seemed expensive when I got it, but it is totally worth it. I spin it around to get even sunlight. Totally worth it...I know, I said it twice!!

Not good at assembling things, but this one actually provides clear and helpful written instructions.

Ideal for small gardens

Pain in the arse to put together ( did it on my own though ), but the materials are high quality. Should last for decades ! Also, really measure the space you want to put it in before purchasing - the entire unit becomes quite big once assembled :)

It is perfect height and the wheels make it easy to move.

Excellent product-also bought the vegapod-love it! Planted my lettuce and tomatoes-self watering and can move the trolley to wherever I wish!

Everything I planted in there is happy and healthy. Would appreciate a more sturdy design for the sprinkler. I had to cut it free and redo it again as it twisted and didn’t spray down. Perhaps it should be incorporated into the roof beam and then a flexible hose can be attached to guide it outside the netting? One other think: Truly didn’t think it was gonna be humanly possible to get the netting stretched over top of the frame but we managed to do it. It took two of us and all of our strength.
