These are very attractive little devices that do their job well. They are a little awkward to open and close at first but you get used to the specific actions necessary and it’s easy to do. I like that these actually will provide some reinforcement to the door, in addition to keeping my toddler safe. I’m sure this door is far more difficult to kick-in with the additional support that this provides in a key location. It’s nice and snug to the door so it feels very strong. I had to chisel out my door frame slightly to get them where I wanted them without catching on the door slightly. The chiseling was honestly a little awkward, required an additional tool and I wasn’t great at it. Having said that, it’s a reasonable thing to have to undertake to get this level of style and security installed in a door gap that is just too narrow to accommodate it unmodified. The finished result still looks great and performs beautifully.

I love these. I have bought them for multiple houses in different colors. I like that there are differently color to match the properly. The durability is nice on them too. While I’ve never had someone break in, there have been several times where someone inside was trying to get out and didn’t realize it was locked and the door wouldn’t move. I’ve had a lot of compliments on them just for functionality and how easy they are to use. Definitely makes me feel safer in my home!

Works great and was a fairly simple install. I can't give 5-star because we had to carve out part of the inner door for it to fit and allow oir door to completely shut.
