A nice fillet knife. I find myself wishing it was sharper or Maybe a bit longer. It works well just not sure if it's worth the price in comparison to a dexter.

The shape, texture and secure grip of the handle to control the blade is excellent, what i wanted in a fishing filet knife. However the blade is dull out of the box! It did not slice a tomato well. I own other Dahlstrong knives for the kitchen and have been very satisfied. To sharpen or return? It would be a nice addition to the tackle box otherwise. UPDATE: Nancy-J Byers from Dahlstrong reached out to me and provided a replacement. New knife was extremely sharp out of the box! Passed all of the tests. Shaved arm hair well (have the band-aids ready), sliced tomatoes so effortlessly and thin Guy Fierri would say they only had one side. Most importantly the task of fileting a cooler full of fish was done with effortless precision. What a fisherman wants. A welcome addition to any tackle box/bag. Thank you Nancy-J Byers! The package was good. Use it to slice some semi frozen chicken just to check out the edge. It sliced right through. Yes, I know it is not ment for slicing. I got it for fish and triming brisket.

Extremely well built. Great ergonomics, this is a durable comfortable knife that can be passed on to future generations. Comes with a well made sheath that can be worn on the belt. Packed in a very nice box that protects the knife well. Highly recommend for the serious fisherman that needs a qualty knife.

Got this for my brother for halibut season. He loves it.

Light weight. Ergonomic "comfortable" handle. Solid sheath. Edge touches up easily.
