So far so good. But off-gas this
Solid, well built, keyed and sufficient for our needs. It's heavy but it's from concrete, not thick steel. It claims to be fire resistant, water resistant but you cannot expect miracles. I'd prefer a lighter "safe" to carry out of our house in case of a fire or zombie apocalypse evacuation. The weight of the safe does not give me the illusion of impregnability. We have this to store our passports, wills, deeds, automobile titles and the like. We'll keep our gold bars, magic rings and plutonium reserves in our imaginary subterranean vault. Not bad, should suffice.Oh yes. You will be surprised by the stench when you open this. Drag it into the garage to off-gas for a while. Wiccans may want to try a cleansing spell or get a priest to perform an exorcism. It's bad, but only for a few days. Don't open it in the house for a while.

heavy!
It weighs a ton, but is rather spacious. Does it work? Thankfully I have no idea. :-)

Heavy and well made
built like a tank. We bought primarily for fire danger in our area. Looks like it will work.

Survived a rough shipment; hydraulic hinges are very nice
The media could not be loaded. I was worried when the damaged carton arrived but cardboard spacers inside the carton protected the safe and it is undamaged. The safe looks and works as described.I’m using the safe to store important documents like our Will, passports, etc. I’m more concerned with waterproofness and fire resistance than security. This safe’s specifications for fire and water protection are great for its price point. The hydraulic hinges do a good job preventing the safe lid from slamming shut (see video). The safe instructions warn to open the safe 1x/week for at least 30 minutes to avoid damage caused by moisture. I’ve purchased a heat-safe waterproof pouch to hold our documents and desiccant packs to try avoiding this weekly chore.Note that putting documents in regular ziptop bags won’t work because these bags melt at the temperature the inside of the safe can reach if it is in a fire.

Good product with one exception
The container appears to be very secure and is large enough to hold quite a few 8 1/2 x 11 manila envelopes with room to spare. It is heavy, but that was noted in the description so it's not unexpected. My only complaint: there is no handle for opening the lid, which is also heavy. The only handle is on the side -- not used for opening.

heavy but UL rated so hopefully does the job
This is pretty heavy but seems able to do the job since it has a UL rating for 1 hour fire safety. Note that it must be stored laying flat, they specifically say not to store standing up. The lock is a bit flimsy but this isn't designed for theft prevention, it's only meant to protect against fire and water. This and similar safes all warn of humidity building inside the safe and require weekly airing. I wonder why they can't make a vapor-proof interior compartment?

Best choice for this size safe
This is heavy. And worth it. I did quite a bit of researching, and this was the highest quality and best heat resistance for this size. Perfect for our documents. Follow the instructions to air it out weekly to ensure moisture doesn’t build up inside. Please note that instructions state it’s not appropriate to store a weapon in. The keys are thinner, but not a dealbreaker. They turn and go in and out just fine.

DO NOT BUY. IGNORE WIRECUTTER RATING
DO NOT PURCHASE. We bought this because it is the highest rated on the Wirecutter. Within five minutes of opening, 1 of the 2 keys had snapped in half. Separately, the latch on the safe became stuck and wouldn’t latch. This may be fireproof, but the locking mechanism is cheap and poorly built.
