AT-SB727-YL Portable Turntable, Yellow

This turntable allowed me to place a record player on a small shelf where a regular sized one would not have fit. The records hang off into space but it works perfectly. The audio quality is great, the instructions are super simple, and it is very portable. The cost is also incredible for what you're getting. I would highly recommend this if you have a small space you want to put a record player in. It's got me re-discovering music and buying some of my favorite albums. It allows you to slow down and enjoy the music instead of just scrolling every 5 seconds.

Among the myriad other reviews.. I am not a vinyl aficionado by any means.. but my Pricesmart ~$120 player just stopped working last Christmas when we were about to play some Xmas records for nostalgia.. Bummer. After debating other full sized units in similar price category, I decided on this for its portability and reviews about sound quality. I have to say I am VERY pleased. Easy set up, feels sturdy and "weighty" enough when it's sitting on a surface. Didn't even charge it out of the box. I connected it using a 1/8" TRS to 1/8" TRS (i.e. "headphone to headphone" cable) to my JBL Flip 4 and the sound was WAYYY better than my previous unit in terms of much fuller range. I can now enjoy my family's old records from the 70's and 80's in a whole new light - er - sound! :)) I will eventually try the bluetooth and report back if there's something else I find that is worth mentioning. Only drawback for me is that it does not have an auto off when the arm reaches the end of the record.. :(

This is a great record player. I needed a player that wouldn't take up a lot of space so this fits my needs. I can also pack it up and move it pretty fast if I need to. I use the line out 3.5mm jack and connect it to my stereo system; works fine. I haven't tried the Bluetooth. I also like the yellow color. I thought not having a volume knob would be a disappointment but it's not. I just use the volume knob on my amp. I find this record player a little bit expensive for how cheap it feels being made out of plastic. It would be nicer if it were made out of metal. Overall I'm glad I bought it. I also boughtthe case for it too.

First and most importantly: the Sound Burger is a very small, portable, battery operated table. That's the big selling point here. We're talking portable like a laptop versus a desktop, not a smart phone vs desktop. The media this plays back is a fragile piece of plastic that's the size of a serving plate and is heavily bound by the laws of physics, so there are clear and obvious limitations to keep in mind. This will let you take your records into other rooms of your house and maybe out to the garage if you're adventurous, but if you're hiking through the woods I'd consider other options. All that said, this is not a toy. It's a solid table that doesn't embarrass itself in the right setup. Sound-wise, this is about on par with the AT-LP60 series. It uses the same cartridge, which is not replaceable, and stylus, which is replaceable. This means that the Sound Burger isn't on the same level as an expensive, dedicated rig, but it's also worlds better than an entry level Crosley player. Listening to music on this is genuinely pleasant. Not the absolute best that vinyl can do but on the right side of the diminishing return curve. The table here doesn't have any fancy features in terms of playback. It's fully manual, no cuing, sprung to about 3g tracking force, and has no antiskate. This lack of antiskate is a minor (but understandble) sticking point: it does sometimes mean that records that don't skip on my other table will skip on this one, but it's not too common and not a huge issue. You do get a nice heavy aluminum platter which keeps the wow and flutter respectable here, and a rubber clamp to keep the record steady. The table is somewhat susceptible to vibrations, so make sure it's on a firm surface. The battery lasts about 12 hours and charges with USB-C. The charging is slow, but you can charge while using the table which slightly mitigates the issue. Output is line out and bluetooth. Line out is via a 3.5mm jack, and comes out already pre-amplified so you won't need a phono pre-amp with this table. The bluetooth is adequate and I haven't had too many issues getting it to pair with various speakers. Not any more than any other bluetooth device. One thing I think this device is missing is dedicated volume controls for bluetooth headphones, not having them limits this to only those devices which have their own volume controls. There are workarounds but this really should've been included and is a mark down for me. Contrary to other opinions, I don't mind that this doesn't have a dedicated headphone out port and would even call its removal an improvement over the original. Given what this is, a fragile playback device which can easily be knocked or dragged off a table by an errant headphone cord (potentially destroying it and a valuable record), it makes sense to keep moving headphone wires far, far away from your Sound Burger. Line out is fine since amplifiers don't move around the room too much, but wired headphones tend to move around and could easily lead to a bad situation. For recommendations, I like it as a second table. If you have a dedicated listening setup but also sometimes want to listen to your records elsewhere in your house, this is a great option. You won't use it for critical listening, but not everything has to be about that. For a first table, this isn't a bad option. Maybe a better one than an ATLP60 actually, since that table is just as unupgradeable as this one: if you graduate to a more expensive table your LP60 will collect dust in a closet or get sold, but this one could still potentially be useful to you. You'll be missing the automatic features on the LP60, but if you don't mind trading that for the true portability of the sound burger you won't be missing much. Who needs automatic return when you can just set your turntable up on the coffee table right next to you and do it yourself? That's really all I have to say. It's a basic, decent sounding table that isn't perfect, but fills its niche well. If that appeals to you, then I say go ahead and buy one.

Perfectly good record player, crazy battery life. Only issue I've had so far was trying to play a warped record which, due to the extremely small turntable, would periodically grind on the static part of the body. Strongly recommend buying the case if you get this for maximum portability

It works perfectly! There are no skips, speed and pitch is good, and there is not even any other issue except the fact you can’t play records that have side warps (also known as warps on the edges of the record) which sucks, but otherwise works completely fine with all the other records in my collection! Would recommend to a friend of family member. Color looks nice too, and it’s easy to take anywhere you go (just don’t put it in rain or water), but still definitely worth the price. Audio Technica, you’re a genius

I didn’t have a record player but bought some vinyls to experience the classic vinyl sound. Very satisfied. This unit is so compact and has BT and a line out. Very easy to use. I’m a little worried about the studiness of the arm and needle but so far it’s been holding up. I don’t think you can get much smaller than this player. If you want a portable vinyl player, this is the ultimate. It’s pricier compared to the full sized chinese ones but I trust this brand way more. I paired my Airpods Max and loving the sound.

La verdad es que ya tengo una tornamesa en la sala y otra en mi habitación, pero llevaba mucho tiempo pensando en este tocadiscos portátil, para eso se pensó para eso existe. Muy útil como amante de los vinilos si vas a salir de paseo, una fiesta etc y vas a reproducir tus discos (se sabe bien que quien no es fan usará el Spotify y punto). La verdad es que me lleva una grata sorpresa con la calidad del audio (estándar ni más ni menos) buen sonido que logra Audio Technica. Al no ser un robusto tocadiscos sino algo más portátil solo tomar en cuenta que note un poco más de vibraciones absorbidas del exterior en algunos casos (nada grave pero si están) el Bluetooth tarda algo en detectar los estereos o bocinas, pero guarda la calma. Quizá el mayor inconveniente sea que el plato está muy a nivel del resto del chasis por lo que si tienes un vinilo pandeado considerablemente está raspara y causará problema (solucionalo con inteligencia 😉 sí, si es posible), sigo creyendo su precio es relativamente alto y puedes encontrar más opciones, pero vaya! Si ya tienes lo que tienes por tu mejor tocadiscos y lo que quieres es reproducirlos fuera de casa con una óptima calidad y cuidado si recomiendo este dispositivo, además muy bonito y bien ensamblado. Otra tontería es que por el color amarillo lo encontré aún más caro cuando en página oficial eso no existe

Excelente solução pra quem deseja ouvir aquele LP de estimação mas não dispõe do espaço necessário para guardar. A opção de ouvir em um amplificador com Bluetooth é ótima.

Ya he escuchado alrededor de 20 LPs y la pila simplemente no se acaba, además que la calidad de audio es bastante buena, aunque creo depende también de la bocina que se use
