Women's Victorian Rococo Dress Temperament Palace Evening Dress Inspiration Maiden Horn Sleeve Costume

I bought this for a young teen who is 5'2" around 105 lbs. I bought the extra-small. There was plenty of room for movement. The dress was perfect for the Jane Austin themed B'day she attended. The dress was so lovely. We purchased it because of the price, and we were very pleased. The quality, the fabric, and the details on the dress far exceeded our expectations. I like that the dress was modest and sat higher on the chest. The ribbon was used to interlace the front and the back as well serve as a way to cinch up the dress. It really added to the beautiful detailing of the dress. There was no zipper. The ribbon was used to tighten the dress. I would say it was true to size. I also like that the material was thick enough that the dress was Not "see through".

This dress is absolutely beautiful! I wore it as a Halloween costume after adding some pillows for shape underneath (reference, I was Catherine the Great Big Fat *butt* lol). It does not come pre-laced with the ribbon, but it IS included! There is a zipper on the right side that makes it so much easier to put on/take off. I am 5'2 and around 190lbs, usually a size 14 in jeans. The XL dress fit me perfectly, especially after cinching the waist & chest. The material is nice, stretchy but solid & non-transparent. It is thick enough to be warm, but not overheat you! It's very comfortable - soft & not itchy at all. The pattern is very clear. A quick toss in the dryer gets every wrinkle out.

I don't typically buy a ton of clothing from Amazon because sizes are hard the the physical stores, let alone the hassle of returning for an online product. I'm about 5'4" and roughly 235 lb (carry most in my mid-section) and I ordered their largest size according to my bust size and it fits way better than I anticipated!! The material feels very descent and a bit thin, but not bad for a costume in this price range. The arms aren't squeezing the life out of my biceps. The picture was taken without wearing any shaper underneath as well for a true fit evaluation. The only thing I would change is the ribbon it comes with is too short for the front to have it woven, completely loose, and extra ribbon hanging down, and I feel that it cheapens the look a little. Maybe the ribbons are supposed to be switched, but I haven't had time to try that yet. The chest panel at the top seems a tad too wide for my chest as well and I'm pretty large in the bust department. It could likely take minor alterations to correct that, but still. Also, I didn't opt to use a petticoat or expanding skirt underneath and you would need one to match the advertised pictures. Although, I do feel it still looks great if you wanted to go without. I also think it looks great even without the choker thats provided. Overall though, I'm honestly surprised and will keep this costume to alter for a different occasion because it's definitely unique compared to the other 2 dresses I've kept.

I LOVE this!!! i felt this was true to size and it was really comfortable - a little long but you really want a hoop skirt if you don't have hips, which i don't. the material is lightweight and kinda silky feeling. i get hot easy and was very comfortable at work, no overheating. and I got TONS of compliments - of course it was for Halloween, but I'm looking forward to any other event i can wear it to.

I just purchased this dress and it is absolutely beautiful. It’s just like the picture. I did not get the hoop skirt that you can purchase separately. It fits well a little snug in the top. If you’re bigger in the breast, I purchased a size large im 5 foot 1, 155 pounds. The top was just a tad bit snug, but other than that definitely worth every dollar! It’s longer, which was expected because I’m short, but I like it that way. You will not regret buying this dress!

I purchased this dress to wear to a Dickens Christmas Carol event. I was amazed at the good quality and great fit for such a low price. I’m 5’2” tall and the dress was very long for me, but I wore it that way and just lifted it up when I walked. I did wear some petticoats underneath to puff it out. The bodice is lined, which is nice. The fabric is not very thick, but is not see through. I received compliments from strangers on what a nice dress it is.

I do seasonal parties and so have purchased a lot of these types of dresses. This is my personal favorite of all in the 30 - 60. price range. I only have had the red one, but it is a keeper! so pretty, fills out beautifully when hooped and the color red is a cranberry, so it looks very nice on most people. Highly recommend this version of these dresses, and they are NOT all the same quality. Also, its sizes are more true American, when picking yours. Comfortable and effortless.
