My doc ordered stool samples for me with a history of chronic diarrhea. Instructions from the lab was to cover the toilet bowl with saran wrap. I can see that working for solid stool but not liquid type. It's more likely to end up all over you and the floor. The other thing in stool sampling is that it can't be contaminated with urine. That doesn't work with the saran wrap either. These hats solve these problems. I used them when I worked as a nurse and really appreciated them. Not only that, they have the capability to measure volume if needed.

It works well, all I would change would be to make the flat edges a bit longer to better fit our toilet. The scale is easy to read in a good font.
