Umbra Twilight Double Curtain Rod, Wrap Around, 30 to 84 Inches, Black

I Love these Umbra Twilight Double Curtain Rods! Yes, they Are worth the price! A Great wrap around design, clean and sleek with no screws visible from any angle, even before the curtains were added! They are very well made, sturdy, heavy duty rods which twist into the curved end pieces. These curved ends securely slide over the small wall-mounted brackets (make sure they are all level). The wall brackets are completely covered when the curved end pieces attach. I was thrilled to see how securely and easily it holds 2 layers of heavy insulated blackout curtains, coupled with the wrap around design, they created a100% blackout effect!!! (Bonus energy saving and better sleep!) The double rods were easy to assemble and install. (tools required). I love that the entire rod (curtains and all) can be lifted straight up off of the wall-mounted brackets to quickly change out curtains for different seasons, cleaning, etc. and just as simple to replace. For this project I ordered the brushed nickel finish in the 30-84 length and mounted them at 76 inches wide. (Sturdy center bracket is included, same sleek mount) So glad I took a chance on these! Great quality for the price and very easy to install. The wraparound feature works well and gives the curtains a nice clean look. I like the black finish a lot; it feels very modern. I used a 1/8" drill bit for the pilot hole to screw directly into the stud for two of the brackets, and I used a 1/4" drill bit for the pilot hole for the wall anchors for the third bracket since there wasn't a stud nearby. Definitely mount directly into studs if you can, especially if your curtains are on the heavy side. If you're mounting near the ceiling like I did, make sure you leave enough space to be able to slide the brackets on and off of the mounting plates. If you're using the center bracket, it's *technically* slightly more difficult to put the curtains on the rod, though honestly I still found it to be very easy. Extending the rods is also super easy. We mounted the plates 16" from the edge of the trim (instead of 4" like suggested by the manufacturer) so that we have about 20" of rod on either side to give plenty of room for the curtains to stack without crowding the window too much. I wouldn't recommend doing 4" unless your window is very small. Very happy with this product, and will definitely be purchasing another one for our spare bedroom.

Super easy to install. Well packaged without being impossible to get at. The anchors are forgiving so you don't have to be perfect. I think it took 20 minutes to set up. Both set of curtains are up and good to go. Umbra's quality is evident no scratches on the brushed metal

This is easily the best curtain rod I’ve had. It’s strong, looks nice, great instructions, and has their new feature where you tuck the outside edge of the curtain in so you don’t get the light through the side by the wall. I use the inner rod for light filtering curtains and the outer rod (also thicker) for blackout/room darkening ones and it works great and actually allows me to keep both options!

I selected this so it would be at the ceiling however it required at least an inch and a half above the rod placement in order to install it. So it doesn't completely block the light. Otherwise it's nice and sturdy and looks good.

I purchased the Umbra Twilight Double Curtain Rod primarily to help insulate my windows during the winter and eliminate the annoying light that sneaks in around the edges of traditional curtain rods. It has exceeded my expectations. The installation was straightforward once I understood how the components fit together. The finished look is very clean, modern, and minimalist. One of my favorite features is that when the curtains are closed, you can't see the rod at all. The wraparound design does an excellent job blocking light along the sides of the curtains, which has made a noticeable difference in both room darkening and insulation. A couple of minor drawbacks: the rods ship in their own retail packaging rather than an additional shipping box. I ordered four rods, and two of the packages arrived looking pretty beat up. Fortunately, the rods themselves were undamaged. Also, there are no detailed installation instructions included—just a brief parts diagram on the box. At first, I thought I was missing pieces until I realized the two rods are intentionally different sizes. Once that clicked, installation was quick and easy. Overall, I'm very happy with these curtain rods and would definitely purchase them again. They look great, function exactly as intended, and do an excellent job reducing light leakage around the edges of blackout curtains.

This is exactly what I needed for my blackout curtains. the wrap around edges make is so that my room can actually be blacked out. it is sturdy, all the hardware is there and easy to figure out, its a great price for what it is. the bars feel sturdy and thick and don't feel like they won't just break. my curtains are heavy and i open and close them daily, and the rods are keeping hold. im surprised at how long that the bar can actually get. the way its coated also is nice. it has a nice matte finish.

Great product and easy install. The small bracket attachment pieces are a great design that allows you to remove the entire rod. Also love the wrap around style. Just remember to measure and install the bracket pieces far enough from the window edges to have max wrap around effect and privacy.

Die Stangen selbst waren robust und gut verarbeitet, wir haben sie direkt 2x bestellt. Geliefert werden 3 unterschiedlich dicke Stangen die ineinander gesteckt werden. Bei einem Paket war leider eine falsche Stange enthalten, sodass man sie nicht zusammen stecken konnte, deswegen gingen beide zurück. Wir wollten ursprünglich diese Stangen für unsere Trapezfenster nutzen, das passte dann aber optisch leider auch nicht so wie gedacht. Bei einem normalen Fenster hätte ich sie aber gerne verwendet, von der Qualität und Aussehen her kann man da nicht meckern.

Einfach gut: es gibt nichts zu Meckern! Die Gardinenstange ist einfach anzubringen, sieht gut aus und hält was sie verspricht, auch die Länge ist einfach variabel einzustellen. Ich bin begeistert!

At first, I was really confused by this product and honestly thought something was missing or assembled incorrectly. The rods come pre-attached to the wall brackets, and because there are two different-sized rods, it’s not immediately obvious how they’re supposed to fit together. The smaller rod is already screwed into one bracket and slides into the larger rod, leaving what looks like an extra larger rod that doesn’t seem to fit anywhere. It took me a minute to realize you’re supposed to unscrew the smaller rod from one bracket and replace it with the larger rod. Once you do that, the smaller rod slides between the two larger rods as intended, and everything fits perfectly. I actually noticed a one-star review from someone who seemed to run into the same confusion, so I thought I’d mention it here in case it helps someone else. Once I figured that out, I was very happy with the curtain rod. It feels sturdy, looks great, and was easy to install. My only suggestion to the manufacturer would be to include a clearer diagram or assembly note, as it would save buyers a lot of initial confusion. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase!
