What can I say? As an Xer who experienced the 1980s as a kid to teen growing up I used these in school. And to hold RPG game materials and conceal all sorts of cool stuff. We found these very useful and not just (though mainly) nostalgia for youth missed these being at every office and art supply store in tons of varieties. The only thing I'd wish for improvement is they made some kind of easy to open and reseal version so we can customize it with Aiart or classic Lisa Frank and other old school "Vaporwave" things. There used to be hundreds of varities and we usually found ways to very carefully cut the sides and re-seal them to insert our own pictures. We didn't have (good) color printers/copiers but we'd cut pics from magazines or color photocopies... Today I'd want to use a high quality printer for a surface print or something. Ahem, anyways, really good if you write things down all day and want to carry some physical media.

I bought the Mead Retro Trapper Keeper (Paint Splatter Edition) expecting a fun dose of nostalgia. What I didn't expect was to instantly be transported back to the days when owning a Trapper Keeper automatically made you 37% more organized and at least 82% cooler. Recommendation: If you want a binder that's equal parts organization and nostalgia, this is an absolute winner. It doesn't just hold papers—it holds memories. Just don't be surprised if you suddenly have the urge to listen to a mixtape and ride your bike to the mall. 📚🎨😄

It's so funny that they have these out because I had this exact same one when I was a kid. Bought this for my 14 almost 15 year old daughter and I found it cheaper on Amazon and in stock. thank you amazon! Absolutely love this just like I remembered and even comes with the folders. Super cute she loves it so much and it arrived on time! It's definitely School friendly durability it's hard to say because my kids go through stuff so fast but I would say on average kid probably pretty durable. But again Great Value I think it was a little bit cheaper than Target and it was in stock

I wasn’t allowed to have a Trapper Keeper when I was a kid, my parents insisted the Kmart knockoffs “worked just as well.” and of course were a couple of bucks cheaper. So now, at 51 years old, I finally pulled the trigger and bought one. Getting one is just as cool as I imagined. The retro triangle ‘Shapes’ design hits that perfect nostalgic note, and the interior is laid out just like I remember, velcro closure, pockets, and folders. I’m using it now to organize business, medical, and government paperwork, and it’s doing the job well. That said, it does feel a little flimsy, which was surprising. I assumed the name-brand Trapper Keeper would be more heavy-duty than the old off-brands, but material-wise, it’s about the same. Also, the sticky side of the velcro isn't very strong and wants to keep coming up. Not a dealbreaker, just something to note. 3/5. A fun and functional blast from the past. More about the vibes than the durability, but I’m glad I finally got one.

I got this as a gift for my bestie’s birthday. We are both Gen X, so the nostalgia value was very high! This was just as we remembered, including the interior folders and the sturdy, crunchy Velcro sound. It serves from a practical perspective as well.

Bright, vibrant graphics and good materials. I just got it so I will have to update when it fails, but so far, so good! Great price too!

Bought this to give to my nephew for this upcoming Christmas. I went through so many of these back when I was in school in the 80s. I just hope they are sturdier than they were back then. I'm sure you all remember the failure point of the Trapper Keeper which was the plastic would rip around the velcro. I wish there were more designs, instead of these 4. The 4 design is always out of stock smh. It comes with 2 folders, but I could swear they used to come with 3. If my nephew ends up liking it, I'll buy him another to show him how we used to slice one end, and put in a page from a magazine of our favorite rock stars. Sure there are only up to 4 designs, but I am grateful that they are still around.

Bought this Trapper Keeper for my middle school aged daughter and she absolutely loves it. Excellent quality and very convenient with the internal pockets and she especially loves the clipboard inside that she uses daily for writing notes in class. The retro vibes are a huge added bonus and she has had many comments from her classmates saying how cool and functional it is.
