The Ansel Adams Wilderness

There are some superb photos in this book, but also some rather mediocre ones as well... which just fill it out. The format is rather small and a larger book would suit the epic nature of some of the landscapes. Also, many of the best pictures are split by the spine and bled off the page. Very common thing i know with picture books - why do book designers always try to fiddle around and put their stamp on the work of other artists? Would you frame a picture without a mount? no. Just keep it simple - one page, one picture. My particular copy reproduced a bit light on the repro, lacking solid blacks

Not as expected
It's my own fault for not reading the small print, but I was expecting a book entitled The Ansel Adams Wilderness to be a collection of some of Ansel Adams' superb photographs of the American Wilderness. Sadly, I was wrong - it's a collection of modern digital photos done by somebody else in similar locations and so not what I wanted. Instead I gave it to a friend who is into photographic techniques and she was pleased with it.
