I hate hamburgers. Not "I usually order something else." I mean I actively do not like hamburgers. Thick patties have a dense texture that I cannot stand, and I still will not order a burger at a restaurant or voluntarily eat somebody else's homemade burger. Yuck. My husband originally bought this seasoning at the grocery store on a whim and made smash burgers with it. I still do not remember exactly how he conned me into taking the first bite, but somehow he did. And annoyingly, he was right. Smashing the burgers thin makes them much less dense than a regular hamburger, and with this seasoning they were juicy, flavorful, and completely different from the thick burger texture I usually hate. He also makes mine with onions cooked down with brown sugar until they turn into a sweet, melty pile instead of tasting like regular onions, which I also generally dislike. The whole thing somehow became one of my favorite meals he makes on the grill. Then we ran out of the seasoning. We went back to the store to buy more and discovered they had stopped carrying it. I panicked in a way that was probably excessive for a bottle of seasoning, but I had finally found ONE hamburger I actually liked and apparently the universe was already trying to take it away from me. So I started ordering it online, usually several bottles at a time, because I am not interested in reliving that experience. We make these a couple of times a month, and since grilling is relaxing for my husband, they are a pretty regular meal at our house. Amazon's pricing on McCormick seasonings used to be noticeably higher than what I could find locally, but that seems to have gotten much better. Now I can keep enough on hand without depending on whether a local grocery store decides to stock it. I still won't eat your burgers. I won't order one at a restaurant. I don't want your uncle's famous recipe. I want my husband's smash burgers with this seasoning. McCormick, please do not discontinue this. I have already been through one unnecessary seasoning-related panic and would prefer not to repeat it.

I’m going to keep this review short and sweet... We absolutely love this smashburger seasoning! My parents came to visit, and I immediately ordered extra bottles to send home with them. The flavor is fantastic, the price is even better, and we’ve used it on so many different foods- from burgers to vegetables. The bottle isn’t particularly large, but at this price point, I’m completely okay with that. I would highly recommend this seasoning if you’re looking for something that adds great flavor without costing a lot. It has quickly become a favorite when grilling!

Oh my goodness!! My review is - you better buy it before I buy them all!!!! This SMASH SEASONING IS THE TOTAL PACKAGE! I put it on EVERYTHING NOW!!! My hubby and I love it so much. And, our family will comment and say what is that delicious seasoning? And, I pull it out and give them one!!!

This smash seasoning was great, but I didn't find it to be all that "smash" worthy. The basic ingrediants are things I already have in the house. The price is great. I think that this will be a nice base seasoning for anyone trying to dabble in "seasoning things". Its great as an all around seasoning for eggs, meat, and light grilling. I am a backyard griller and I would use this as a base marinade seasoning rather than the main tast seasoning.
