I was looking for an emergency flasher that could stand up to some abuse and stumbled on this, based on the cool name and the fact that it was made in the USA. I'm kind of tired of Chinese items on Amazon with names that seem to be nothing than a string of random letters. Plus Freakin' Beacon just sounded cool.I bought the red with plastic spring clip for about $11. For this price I'm very happy. It's sturdy and waterproof, so should stand up to a good deal of bashing about. The clear plastic body also helps improve visibility of the flasher.I'm pretty sure that, unless I was using it for something job related, I'd have been disappointed if I'd paid $40 for this. The prices seem to vary from $10-$40 based solely on the type of clip attachment.So browse through all the models to find the color/attachment sweet spot and you won't be disappointed.

I work 60- 70 hours a week. I don't have TIME to go thru all the BS of returning this so it went straight into the trash bin. Why?1: I ordered a YELLOW flasher. I received a WHITE one.2: I ordered a yellow flasher with a METAL CLIP. I received a white flasher with a MAGNET.I needed this flasher for work. I needed the colour yellow for work. I needed a metal clip to go on my hard hat. This purchase was a total flop. This flasher is absolutely worthless to me- I can't use it. You guys got me for almost 50 bucks. Never again.Ok, I'm being really negative. Is there ANYTHING positive I could say about this product? Yeah, it seems to be built quite ruggedly, although I can see the attachment point of the magnet is a weak spot. Speaking of the magnet, it is a very powerful magnet- too bad my hard hat is plastic.I am very disappointed in this purchase.

After reading the negative review, I was hesitant, however my beacon arrived quickly and just as ordered. It’s super bright and gives great visibility at night and during the day – it’s perfect for the jobsite and also walking the dog in the dark. Super rugged construction, waterproof and the clip is stout enough to go on a helmet band or directly onto your clothes. Would recommend for anyone on a low visibility jobsite for additional layer of safety.
