TerraSlate Paper 8.5" x 14" (8 MIL) is an excellent choice for menus due to its durability and easy-to-clean surface. We have a small residential real estate brokerage house and were looking for a product where we could update “for sale” fields on our aluminum for sale signs - something we could print at our offices at low cost. This was the perfect thing.

We use these in our restaurants and they work so well for our menus. With COVID currently going on, the water proof paper makes it easy to sanitize menus in between guests. It also looks more elegant than laminating the menus.

Is this waterproof and tear proof paper stupidly expensive? Absolutely. But if you have a laser printer or access to one and you need something heavy duty then this is what you need. It’s very durable and if you really want to up the durability then laminate this and it will hold up to even the most destructive pre schooler. Because of the price point I will definitely be rationing this, but it’s great for when you need something indestructible. Personally if I didn’t already have a laser printer it might be more cost effective to buy a good quality laminator and some laminating pockets.

Durable and just what we were looking for

Lost about half of my paper to trial and error. After calling a friend (who owns a print shop) for help. We called TerraSlate together to discuss the issues I was having. It was then he confirmed what I discovered. The paper sticks together dude to static, before using, make sure you fan the paper out to remove any static keeping it together, this will prevent paper jams. Next it's best to run a few sheets of regular paper before starting your job, as heating up the printer helps the ink adhere to the paper better. Also, just your printer settings, there are certain settings that need to be used to get the best quality print. I wish I could tell you the settings, but I left that up to my friend to handle (and I'm sure everyone's printer varies). So before you print, if you are uncertain call TerraSlate for assistance, give them your printer info, and definitely purchase more than you need. You may lose a few pages to errors and jams... I lost half mine, and this paper is not cheap.On a positive note, the ones I did manage to print came out amazing! Unfortunately, I'll have to purchase more to replace what was lost...

I can't say enough good things about this paper substitute. It's expensive, but very much worth it. I use it for outdoor signs, like a sign at the farm to tell people how to contact me to get in the gate. I make signs for the back of vehicles (student driver, patience please!). I've had the sign on my gate for months. No fading, no wrinkles. The laser printer text is still clear, and the paper is still white. It's thick and rich. I think that it would also make good covers for printed documents. My run-of-the-mill Lexmark printer did great with it. Absolutely phenomenal.
