Mavic Alpine Mountain Bike Shoes Gentlemen Grey/Black

The shoe was fine, but did not hold up to the task of regular use off the bike in the woods. The sole was not up to it.

VERY VERY Comfortable. only grip I have is the heel too low, since the sole is so stiff, the shoe doesn't like to follow the heel, should make the back a bit taller so it follows, overall awesome shoe.

I wanted a bike shoe for commuting, city riding, touring and mountain biking. I wanted a normal shoe look, a recessed cleat for walking around, but also a firm sole and good support because I ride fast and hard. For my array of purposes, this is a fantastic shoe. My feet are held throughout the pedal stroke with very little movement or sliding around. There's a little more room in the toe box than I'd like due to shoelaces instead of velcro straps, but not enough to complain about. The top strap plus laces hold my feet firm and riding feels great. I can walk around with just an occasional hint of my spd cleat scratching the pavement. Off the bike it's a nice looking shoe; with baggy shorts and a t-shirt I can walk through the halls of work or grab a coffee or whatever without making the big I'm a cyclist announcement. My one complaint is that the laces stick to the velcro and started shredding. On the plus side, I can tuck the tied laces under the velcro so they don't interfere with pedaling. Installing SPD cleats was straightforward. They're a bit heavier than the touring shoes they replaced and much heavier than my road shoes (obviously). Not a competition shoe, but does a number of different things very well. I'm a size 12 regular shoe and a 46 or 47 in bike shoe. The size 12 Mavic is right for me.

5'10 175 wear size 10.5 nikes, adidas, reeboks and I ordered size 10.5 from Mavic and it fits PERFECTLY.These shoes are the most comfortable mountain bike shoes I have worn by a long shot.Just because they're comfortable doesn't mean they're inefficient. The sole is VERY stiff and I don't notice a loss in power transfer between these and my shimano M087's.Once you find the sweet spot to mount the cleats and break these shoes in, they are like wearing a nice pair of athletic shoes.Hike-a-bike is no longer a game where I am tip toeing around trying not to slip. I can simply walk, jog, or run like I am wearing regular shoes.The traction on these is great and the ability to keep them nice and tight with the velcro strap is extremely useful.Assuming the correct size is ordered, I do not expect anyone to be dissatisfied with their purchase.

Very veristile for both clip ins pedals or classic pedals. Durable and good for the price. Sizing was very accurate.

Sizing chart is dead on with these. They are comfortable and provide great support. As a law enforcement officer I'm constantly on and off my bike on every terrain you can think of. The sole provides stability and grip on everything I've come in contact with. Whenever it's time to purchase another pair, I'll be sticking with Mavic.

I have other mountain bike shoes but they don't come close to the comfort and durability of the Mavic Alpine. This is the first bike shoe I've found that fit my wide feet like they were custom made. They have excellent ventilation and the perfect amount of support and flexibility. Thanks Mavic for an awesome mountain bike shoe!

Der Schuh erfüllt genau die in ihn gestellten Erwartungen.+stabiler Halt auf den Pedalen auch ohne Cleats+steife Sohle für eine gute Kraftübertragung+stabiler Halt auf losem Untergrund+bequem auch abseits der PisteMan kann die Schuhe definitiv in der normalen Schuhgröße bestellen (Fahradschuhe sollten etwas enger sein). Wer mehr Wert auf Bequemlichkeit legt und evtl. die Schuhe etwas öfter neben den Padalen nutzt, der bestellt eine Nummer größer.

Die Schuhe sind top Qualität! Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell und gut verpacktBei der Größe muss man mindestens 1-1,5 Größen mehr wählen und der Schuh fällt in seinem Aufbau etwas schmal aus. Für mich ging das dann leider nicht.Der Klettverschluss "bändigt" die Schnürsenkel gut.Alles in allen ein guter, leichter und bequemer Tourenschuh.
