Plus Size Maxi Paisley Surplice Dress

I just tried mine on. it's going to be a perfect wedding dress for summer. light and airy. i'll have to use my tummy shaper because it looks like i'm pregnant. length is good. I'm 5' and just brushes the top of my feet. If you have a larger chest like i do 42F, a good minimizer or a size up might be a good idea. you'll have to excuse the photo, i needed to try it on before bf and my daughter got home. but in this i'm wearing a tummy/thigh slimmer. ***Update, 4 years later. I love this dress. It still fits, I do wear it on warm days when even shorts are too much. I ditched the slimmerwear. We got married on July 4 2015 and now I use the dress for any occasion....it's March 2023. Someone stole my dress while I was in a hospital. It broke my heart. My husband had just passed. They took the shirt he was married in also. He has passed away and his sister was given the key to our home. She was given a list, and when i got home it was gone and her and his whole family blocked me.from everything *they took a bunch of stuff. He passed away in 2021.

Awwwwwesome dress! The print is fantastically unique, lively, modern, bright... the cut is really nice, not too showy on the chest, I'm a 38 DD or E.It's really long, I'm 55'8" and it hits low on my shins, it looks like it hits at the knee in the picture. I'm not a plus size but I referred to the size chart and bought a 1x, normally I wear size 12 pants, an xl top, I'm about 45 inches around the bust and this dress wasn't too tight, it's a comfortable fit. The thread is weak, I heard a few segments snap as I pulled it over my head, the thread has no give.I love the fabric pattern, the cut is good for me. Size up I guess.

Unfortunately, I am returning this, as the pink tinge to the fabric was just too much too bear. I wonder if it was a return from someone else who washed it!I bought the Royal Blue with the zig zag stripes across it, and it's GORGEOUS, except for a pink tinge! It has enough give that I'm ordering a different one in one size smaller.It's a LONG dress, not a short one as it appears in the pictures (at least to me). But it feels super comfortable. Due to its low cut, I will probably wear a tank top underneath, or adapt the neckline with a pin. The armholes are NOT huge, but not tight. So many dressmakers get this wrong, but even in this low cost dress, they are just right.This will be perfect for the coming summer, and with the adapted neckline, to wear to Church.

This is a great dress for summer. Hung this on a drying rack after the first wash and it dried quickly with no fading of the bright color. It was a little longer than I expected, ankle length on me (5'2"). It might be a bit of a surprise for taller girls looking for a super long dress. The adjustable shoulder ties are stitched together so if you want to make the shoulder straps less wide, you'll either have to snip the stitches in between the two ties (approx 1" of stitching) or double it back on itself to knot it. The fabric is stretchy and has lots of drape, the smocking helps give it a nice shape and fit it to all body types. This would work with a belt and cardigan to dress it up, or as a beach coverup or sundress.

I originally only ordered two dresses. both addresses arrived earlier than anticipated and they fit wonderfully. I plan to wear these dresses when my husband and I vacation later this summer. These dresses are perfect for a tropical vacation the material is light weight which will be great for the humid weather in the Caribbean; and, also the material does not easily wrinkle which means they'll be great for packing. I recently ordered 4 more dresses that's how much I love them. If you are pear shaped like I am, don't hesitate to order these dresses because, the empire waist line accentuates all of your curves in the right places

I returned mine.I purchased the Red/Yellow Peacock short dress in 2x (I wear dress size 14/16 in these stretchy type fabric dresses for a snug fit if you are curious about size relation).The dress was thin but for the price I accepted that was going to be the case. However it was so thin that it showed every single imperfection on my body... even a thick slip did not help. The colors were nice, but in person they didnt seem as detailed.... like colors were blending. Additionally, I would have to sew in my own belt loops because the elastic along the bust line is tacky and without adding a solid thick belt, it looked cheap. Great for the trailer park.... yet a step down from Walmart.... Go figure. But I went to try it on and immediately noticed where the shoulder meets the neckline, the hem came undone and was continuing to unravel quickly. This kind of fabric (polyester/nylon blend) cannot be easily manipulated as the fabric itself will tear and unravel. Luckily, they DO do returns... as I couldn't get it in a box to ship back fast enough!

I'm 5'9" and the while the dress really fit up top (where I need it most - I'm a 38 G and ordered the 1X) it wasn't quite long enough for a maxi dress and came about 2 " above my ankle.

I love my dress. As a plus size girl it's hard to find good fitting close but this dress is super comfortable and I look great in it, got compliments the first day I had it on.... It's a keeper
