I bought #148. Very nice for experienced user since it is a spike blade. Highly advise buying a 3000/8000 grit stone which is really a mandatory accessory. Perfect for when the shtf since you won't be depending on blades. You'll just need the stones. Last note, I just sharpened knife because it was dulling after only first use. Upon sharpening it was very apparent this is a very soft steel but it sharpens easily. 👍

I bought this to try out shaving with a straight razor. I didn't want to spend too much to then not liking the process. This product is worth every penny and more. I am still learning how to use it but the blade is very sharp. I will update this review if at any point if my opinion changes. For now though I love it.

Whatever that leather thing is that's supposed to sharpen it . Doesn't do Anything . I'd prefer just the straight edge honestly, because even when I tried to it .... Useless . BUT!! It came already sharp. I'm nervous when using it because I got it for more precise line ups and a close cut on my sides. It does great with that but I don't want to over do it because HOW DO I SHARPEN IT IF IT COMES WITH TRASH lmaoooI mean I would buy this for the razor . Period. That's it.I also wish it came with a stopper. Like something that catches the mechanism so it doesn't completely compress the entire opposite way. I may not be used to it but its not the easiest thing to hold and use. And I strongly believe it's because there's nothing holding it in place when you're using it besides your hand .4 stars because it does it's job but what's included makes the second part (sharpening it) difficult and that's kinda the point of getting the thing ..I'm due for another cut in a couple days so I can add before and after of the job it does..(Honestly how long it takes to approve reviews with pics I'd probably already had cut my hair by then haha)

The razor is not honed properly, so it doesn’t cut very well. The quality of the razor could be improved. I have had cheaper that have cut better.

great looking razor, but it's got a few flaws. First, the blade got dull fast during second shave, no amount of stroping fixed that. Secondly, upon closer inspection, the blade comes incredibly close to scraping against the inside of the scales on one side. See pics for that - it's hard to tell, but the blade is NOT aligned center.I ended up buying a gold dollar razor elsewhere for much more and I'm happy with that. I'm keeping this one just for practicing shaving with my left hand without fear of cutting my face

This is the one that really does shave completely! I have bought so many of these straight edge razors and they just didn't get everything balanced. I use this to shave my head, and I use this one to get everything else that other blades forever missed! It gives you that complete finish that you truly desire! This is exactly 💯 percent what you are looking for!

I didn’t notice there was a bend in the blade when I first opened the razor. Thinking I could fix it, I threw it on my finest honing stone and attempted to correct the edge and remove the grind marks. After a few passes the grind marks were gone and the edge was more even, but it still had an uneven taper one side towards the tip. After several more passes and no progress, I held it to the light that I noticed a curve. While I was able to get it relatively sharp (compared to a pocket knife) I wouldn’t don’t recommend this product, and I wish I hadn’t cheated out and just bought something better.Update: I finally broke down and bought a Dovo. I practically stole it at $85, and there’s no comparison. The Dovo shaves like a knife through warm butter and this is like shaving with a fairly sharp pocket knife. It’s possible to shave with, and gets the job done, but not very well. I’m by no means sponsored by Dovo, but highly recommend them if you’re looking for a great straight razor. They’re a expensive but worth the money in my opinion.

He has wanted this type of razor and for the price it was well worth it. He hasn't had to resharpen it yet and it works great for him. Super close shaving and easy to use.
