Black Diamond makes quality outdoor products. When I lost one of my Black Diamond poles that I had had for several years, I knew I wanted to stick with the brand for the replacement set. I was fortunate to find these Trail Back Trekking Poles on Amazon at a much better price than the large outdoor equipment retailers. Not only that, but th Trail Back is the same model I had. This new version feels light and is sturdy. They do not wobble, are slip resistant, and have a comfortable grip. I recommend this poles for the safety and comfort they provide.

Black Diamond is well known for quality outdoor gear, and these are no exception. They adjust easily, lock well, and are lightweight.

Have beat these hard on hikes like Mt St Helens where they provided great support on varied terrain but were easy to collapse and tie onto my pack when going through boulder fields. Light weight, strong. Quick adjustment to lengthen for protracted up or downhill walking. Well made grips and straps.

I bought these to replace my old poles that were a twist lock, and these are just as light weight and comfortable to use. I really like the wrist straps, they feel nice and cushiony. My one harp on this is that being brand new, the clips for opening and closing each segment almost felt super brittle and they were practically impossible to open and close. This was more of an issue for me because my backpacking tent uses trekking poles, and it was an absolute pain in the butt when I couldn’t get a clip to close. At one point I had to go over to a rock and push it closed against the rock face. Hoping WD40 will make a difference but dang they are stiff! I’m actually a little worried that they may break at some point and am hoping that it gets better with more use and will look into them maybe being overtightened? I don’t know. Overall, everything else was great and I felt they were reasonable for the price. They performed well and did their job!

Good quality and light poles.

These are great walking sticks. They are lightweight, very sturdy and the wrist loop keeps the sticks from going astray. I have three pairs and keep them in each of our vehicles for tray use. Excellent product

We didn’t buy this for hiking, but for walking around our neighborhood and for protection. We have a small dog and there are coyotes in our community. I feel confident I could keep a coyote from going after my little dog with this in hand. It’s also so nice just to have the support of a walking stick. The wrist strap is convenient when I need both hands-free for something. And it collapses to a size that will fit in our luggage if we travel.

Bought for walking the dog and keeping upright in inclement weather! Early days but seem to do the job. Only criticism thus far would be slight vibration thru the poles to the hands….

Easily adjustable, might take a bit of trial and error to find the right length but that would be for all poles. Enjoyed a long walk with these seemed to speed me up somewhat, but it may be my imagination. Unobtrusive when carried in a rucksack loop.

Nice walking sticks, they do the job. The seller forgot to include the snow baskets.....not good.
