I *really* wanted to love this. The design seemed good, it seemed it would be simple to use, and the other reviews are great. But after opening a bottle of wine and inserting the Sello device, my husband had a hard time removing the red stopper-style top from the device (to pour a second glass of wine) without the entire (black plastic) device sliding out from the bottle. (The black part of the device, which is supposed to remain in the bottle, was not completely secure, but somewhat loose, and kept sliding out when we tried to remove the stopper to pour.) While my husband was trying to remove the red stopper, within seconds it suddenly came apart and popped off - broken in two pieces, with part still stuck in the device! In addition, the lower part of the device holding the cartridge inside the neck of the bottle also came apart and fell into our (mostly full) bottle of wine, depositing the cartridge there.I emailed Sello earlier today to share my negative experience and ask about their warranty/refund policy. I received a lightning quick response offering an apology and several return/refund options. I am going to opt for a replacement and give the product another try. If the replacement works well, I will update/upgrade this review accordingly. At present, I'm leaving a 3-star rating. While the product was a disappointment, it may have been a rare defect, and I'm very impressed with the company's immediate and accommodating response to my complaint.

Seemed to work for the first two bottles. On the third bottle, the top separated from the stopper. Tried calling Customer Service but the call went to what seemed to be a private recording. Received about four months ago.Received call from Sello the next day. Explained manufacture problem and will send replacement. Pleased with Customer Service. Updated to 4 stars. Will update again after I have more time to evaluate the product.

4/5/18 update: the company was quick to respond to my review and gave me a full refund as well as sent me a replacement. Although I have only used it once since the new one arrived it seems much more sturdy and easier to take out than the first one. I will update agai once I have used it more.The topper broke on the second wine bottle. I was trying to remove the device from the bottle according to the directions and the rubber broke off the top.

Alright, this system is just okay for me. Unfortunately, if I want to store a bottle with this on in the fridge, it has to be upright or it will leak out! I am not extremely excited about having to change cartridges constantly but understand the need. I've had other sealers that have worked better and I've been able to store laying down in the fridge. I guess it just depends on how quickly you drink your wine.

Easy to use and keeps wine tasting like I just opened the bottle. To really measure it’s effectiveness, I would have to open two bottles of the same wine at the same time and use the Sello on one and just the cork on the other bottle and do a taste test over a period of 4 or 5 days.

This is the best wine preservation system out there! My wife and I have different tastes in wine so in the past I've hesitated to open one of the Zins or Cabs I love in my collection if I know I won't finish it that evening. Now, I don't have to worry about that. I can enjoy my wine and know that the Sello unit will preserve the rest of the wine for another day.In fact, I've ordered multiple units for my family. It's so easy to use and the most effective at what it does. I really like that even when the unit is in place (inserted in the bottle) you can still pour a glass of wine without the hassles of removing the entire unit. Brilliant!From now on, I will only trust my collection of wine with Sello! Thanks for making such a great product!

I was very excited to try this product and initially liked it a great deal, although it was difficult to extract from the bottle. Unfortunately after using it for approximately 4 bottles of wine, it broke into two pieces. I have 22 out of 24 cartridges left and no functioning preserver. It is made of plastic which is apparently a very cheap plastic. The initial problem was when a piece of rubber disconnected from the top. I successfully glued this back together. However, approximately 3 days later the contraption snapped in half. The junction which broke apart was unable to be glued back together. I consider this a waste of about $50. I believe that the concept is promising, but the item needs to be a lot more durable.

THE PRODUCT: First time is used it, i left the bottle of a fragile Pinot Noir uncorked several hours then did not refrigerate the bottle. The results weren’t good. I emailed the seller and she explained it works best if you insert the unit right away. Next time, I was able to maintain a bottle of Zin in a drinkable state for five days and on the fifth day, it was as lively as the first. Highly recommend this product.THE SERVICE: I purchased two of these for Christmas gifts. We are a family of four wine drinkers and after several months’ use, one of the cartridge holders broke. I contacted the seller, and she not only immediately replaced it and included two packages of cartridges, she followed up and sent me two more when they received an upgraded sturdier version along with two MORE packages of cartridges. Really terrific service.
