I don't do reviews often, but have to share this one. This camera is good. Solar is solid. Charges up as stated. I used to have those cheaper off shore knock offs that amazon sells but they never supported the 5.2GHZ channel, only the 2.4GHZ channel so they kept disconnecting and drove me up the wall. This one pairs quickly with your 5.2 GHZ WIFI and unlike the knockoffs who direct you to a 3rd party app, this camera has its own app made by its own dev. So check it out if you are looking to replace aging equipment. This is connected to my WIFI and the up to StarkLink. No LAG. They have SW clients for windows, IOS, and android

Great camera i been using this cameras for more then 10 years they do really get you a nice picture, If you are in the market for security cameras i will definitely go with Reolink

First off, in order to make this camera in any way reasonably useful, you've got to buy their Home Hub or Home Hub Pro, an additional purchase that they don't tell you upfront is kinda sorta necessary for this camera to work as intended and advertised, even if you have your own NVR setup. Using it in standalone mode with any other NVR is terribly unreliable. So, I ended up buying the damn Home Hub, too, creating a second redundant NVR on my network for no good reason. Second, their claims of four-month battery life is if the camera never does a damn thing ever. The puny-ass 5-watt solar panel they include with the camera is worthless and cannot sustain the camera for 24-hour operation with even the lightest of usage settings in anything other than the blaring hot sun of an 18-hour desert day. I've had this camera installed for two weeks now; it dies every evening by 8pm, and doesn't power back on again until nearly noon the next day, despite getting 6+ hours of direct TEXAS sun every day! I've watched the battery levels drop while the sun was blaring directly at the panel. It's absurd that they thought this panel was enough, combined with the sneaky hub requirements, and I feel scammed. In testing, and then finally getting around to installing this camera, I've elapsed my 30 day return window. So I'm stuck with it. My options are to run a power cable all the way out to the camera (defeating the damned point of a solar powered camera), or install a larger solar panel, which Reolink will happily sell me for an upcharge. I should have just installed another POE camera and been done with it. I'll never buy another one of Reolink's wireless products again. I've been a customer for years, and their wired products are excellent. Avoid this wireless garbage; it's a rabbit hole of upsells and pure disappointment.

The Reolink Argus PT Ultra 4K Solar WiFi Camera has been a solid addition to my home camera setup. I installed it on a gazebo that sits near a public trail behind my fence. Recently, a windstorm knocked down part of the fence, leaving a gaping hole where anyone walking by can see in or walk in. Since rebuilding in the middle of winter was not ideal, this camera became a practical short-term and likely long-term security solution to keep an eye on things before and after the fence gets built. For my intended use, which is monitoring the yard and trail access, it has delivered excellent effectiveness and performance so far. I absolutely plan to leave it there permanently. The overall build quality feels very much in line with what I expect from Reolink. I have been running a Reolink DVR system in Colorado weather for over 12 years, ranging from below-zero winters to hot summer sun, and my DVR cameras have never failed. This Argus PT Ultra gives me that same impression of durability and longevity. The camera housing feels solid, the mounting bracket is sturdy, and the included 3W solar panel has a clean, functional appearance that is small enough not clash with the gazebo design or look terribly out of place. Installation was straightforward, highlighting the system's usability and ease of use. Because it is fully wire-free, I only needed two tapping screws into the gazebo's wood beam and a secure mount for the solar panel above it on the camera mount. Within a couple of hours of sunlight, the battery fully charged to 100 percent. That solar functionality removes the hassle of climbing up to recharge batteries, running a power cord to a plug, or running an Ethernet cable, which is a major advantage over some battery cameras I have used in the past. Setting up the Reolink app was equally simple. After creating a Reolink account, I scanned the QR code on the camera, connected via Bluetooth, and then added it to my 2.4 or 5.8 GHz WiFi network. I was pleasantly surprised that I still had a strong signal all the way across my yard. What stands out most is the 4K image quality and the 360-degree pan-and-tilt functionality. The clarity during the day is excellent, and the color night vision with the motion spotlight does a good job of preserving in the dark. The auto tracking feature adds real functionality, especially for monitoring activity along the trail. Instead of a static view, the camera follows movement across its field of view. The ability to view both this camera and my older Reolink DVR system in the same app is a big plus. It keeps everything centralized and easy to manage. Remote access also works reliably, so I can check in when I am away from home. Local storage via microSD is another practical feature, especially since there are no mandatory subscription fees. Motion detection only captures short clips, so even a 32 GB SD card is sufficient to store hundreds, if not thousands, of clips. In real-world use, motion detection has been accurate, and the smart detection options for person, vehicle, and pet help reduce false alerts. I had to turn up the motion detection all the way for it to detect people walking by on the trail, but it will definitely pick people up at 60 percent if they get closer. The spotlight and siren serve as a deterrent, though I mainly rely on notifications and recorded clips. I left the siren feature off since I don’t want to alarm every person who walks by. Video playback in the app is smooth, and the interface is intuitive without feeling overly simplified. Sound quality is also decent for picking up voices nearby. I could easily hear birds through the app as well as dogs barking in the distance. The camera and app offer plenty of options for managing the device, with a few more knobs that advanced users will enjoy. There are a few nuances to be aware of. While it supports both 2.4 and 5 GHz WiFi 6, which offers compatibility with older versions of Wi-Fi, placement still depends on having reliable coverage at the install location. At my gazebo across the yard, I decided to join it to my 2.4GHz only network since 2.4 goes further than 5.8. My wi-fi AP is inside the house, so I may end up replacing the factory antenna on the camera with a directional patch antenna to help boost the signal. Also, while the solar panel has kept the battery full for me, shaded areas or prolonged overcast weather could affect charging performance. You also need to purchase a microSD card separately to enable local event storage. These are not deal breakers, but they are practical considerations. At around 120 dollars, I believe this camera matches its price point well and is actually a bargain for a full PTZ camera. It does not replace a full wired PoE system in terms of continuous recording and absolute reliability, but for a wire-free outdoor solution with strong video quality and solid functionality, it comes very close. In some scenarios, especially where running cable is difficult, it can realistically replace higher-end wired alternatives. Overall, this is a high-value option for anyone wanting a flexible, solar-powered outdoor security camera with strong performance and good long-term potential. If you already use Reolink products, the integration within the same app is a major advantage. For new users, it offers an easy entry into a capable and subscription-free security ecosystem, but there is a bit of a learning curve. The directions are pretty clear, and if you aren’t the type of person who calls tech support on the first sign of trouble, this is a great solution. As long as you have decent WiFi coverage and reasonable sunlight, it is a practical and well-built solution.

UPDATE: I’m updating my review to highlight Reolink’s impressive customer service. While the solar camera I purchased had some connection issues and didn't quite meet my needs for continuous viewing, the support team was top-notch. They worked hard to troubleshoot the issues and eventually provided a replacement to make things right. Highly recommend the brand for their service alone. I've given this camera 9 months of use before writing this review to make sure I wasn't jumping to any conclusions. ​ My experience with this Reolink solar camera has been deeply unsatisfactory, primarily due to persistent issues with battery power management and Wi-Fi connectivity. ​Despite being a solar-powered model, the camera constantly suffers from a low battery state. I have repositioned the unit to areas with maximum sun exposure, but it consistently fails to maintain an adequate charge. This significantly undermines its reliability as a security device. ​Furthermore, the camera's Wi-Fi performance is exceptionally poor. The effective range is limited; it fails to maintain a stable connection if moved more than 20 feet from my home's router. To remedy this, I placed the camera in close proximity to a mesh router, but it continues to drop the signal frequently and struggles to reconnect, which is the biggest issue. Then there is the issue with limited viewing because the camera will go into standby mode. Constantly having to click continue viewing is more of a pain than it is worth. Not a very good camera overall. ​Unfortunately, due to these fundamental flaws in battery and network performance, I cannot recommend this camera.

Out of my 6 Reolink cameras this was my favorite. Nice quality recordings - its security features were very nice catching animals people and vehicles it was set for. Its quality at nite time was very good up close but distance wise just ok. But I have outside lighting so this provides very good lighting for it to operate at night very good. I could go on and on about its pros and cons but I am just not in the mood to right now. It’s been almost exactly two years since I purchased it and its issues have come out. On and off it started having issues with its battery not charging. I first thought it was the solar panel so I purchased the newer larger panel Reolink sells. But not to be the problem it seems as though its battery has decided to quit taking a charge. I am not stuck my it up on a 17 foot high light street light post and now it will be my third time having to remove it and possibly send it in for repair. I am hoping Reolink will somehow decide to warranty it even after it being just over its warranty period. My first Reolink camera that I purchased is going on six years and not one issue with it and it’s the least expensive PTZ camera Reolink sells. My suggestion is to purchase the least expensive camera plus the one with the least features and hopefully you will have the least issues. These cameras regardless of the manufacturer that have the permanent battery inside are going to fail it’s just a matter of time. Once they do either hope there repairable or toss it in the trash and purchase another one. Thanks

The PT Ultra is a Great improvement over the PT, we have 50 of these cameras in our Family (3 Homes and Shops) and have only had two failures out of 50. They are easy to set up, have Great Battery life, clear pictures. We wait to buy them on Sale usually around 15% off. The only negitive is you have to buy the NVR and Cameras that will work with the NVR to monitor them 24/7 as these cameras will go off to save on the Battery after about a minute or two and you have to reload them to monitor them even if you run a wall wart to run them instead of the solar panel. Also you have to remember wirless cameras are slower to pickup moving objects, nature of the beast. We set them up around our 5 acres with wireless extenders for our routers and they work Great for us.

充電器で充電できず、不良品かあ、と思ったのですが、で返品しようとしましたが、他にも充電できていないというレビューを見て、もしかして充電器の問題？と。 そういえば、試したのは全てTypeC-TypeCのPDタイプだったことに気づき、試しにTypeA-TypeCの充電器を使ったら、充電が始まりました。 充電器でうまくいかない方、TypeA-TypeCのものでも試してみてください。 まだ初期設定段階なので、一旦、星３つです。 追記 1週間ほど使っています。 画質は綺麗で、夜間もしっかり映ります。 自動点灯するLEDライトがかなり明るいので、防犯効果も高そうに思います。 microSDに記録しますが、同時にftpサーバーにもアップロードできるので、自宅のNASにもアップロードするように設定しました。 別途、クラウドサービスを申し込む必要がなくこれができるのは、私的にはかなりメリットです。 ということで、星5つ評価にさせていただきました。

My second camera of this brand. They work great. I have it plugged in to an outlet, so I haven't used the solar panel, but it might be a nice option for some. I like the camera, I like the app. Good purchase.

Fantastic product and brand, I've been using the 2k for years and had to get the new 4k version. It has many features and is easy to setup and install. I highly recommend relink for your security needs
