very happy I tried this product! I have thick but fine, dyed red hair that is long. I have been experiencing some dry scalp flaking and itch due to our climate change from fall to winter, but this product took care of that! The first time you wash it, it does not lather up--I read other's reviews before using the product, so I expected that, and I did not expect for HOW MUCH the product lathered up on the second application. WOW!!! I felt like a giant medusa head in the best possible version of that haha! It does color the water a bit, but no residue in tub. My hair felt soft, and very clean, cleaner than I have ever had from in-home shampooing. My kids remarked on how shiny my hair was after using this. Definitely will be buying this again

I have coarse hair which can get frizzy if I use the wrong kind of shampoo and/or don't put conditioner. This shampoo and conditioner set make my hair smooth, soft, and minimizes the frizziness. I never shampooed my hair twice back to back but according to the instructions the first time os shampooing with this shampoo opens the hair cuticle and the second round it infuses the hair follicles with bamboo extract. For the conditioner I leave it for 5 min to make sure it provides the nourishment to my roots. The shampoo color is black and the conditioner is charcoal gray. They both smell really good and refreshing yet not overpowering nor strong. I like that it this set doesn't have added sulfate and paraben which I am trying avoid as much as possible.

I only use this about once or twice a month, but I love how clean and light my hair feels afterwards. I have long, light brown hair which leans toward the oily side. I'll use dry shampoo on days I don't wash my hair. Depending on how often I've used dry shampoo, other product, or just get sweaty from life, sometimes I feel like I need a deeper clean, which is why I thought I'd try this. My hair feels clean and light (not oily) easily for two days after using. The conditioner feels a lot lighter/watery than what I'm used to (this is my first time using a clarifying shampoo) and I did need to apply it pretty liberally after using the clarifying shampoo.

I found this product to really improve my hair. I can wash it at night and my roots are not oily in the morning and my roots are not as dark because they are finally clean. However, It is a little expensive but it still works better and smells better than any other clarifying shampoo and conditioner that I have found cheaper. I will be adding this to my wishlist for birthday and christmas gifts :)

I was concerned when I read the bottles since it is recommended for thick hair types (I have thin naturally blonde hair) and I caught myself thinking "I hope this doesn't stain my hair" when I put it in my hand. I don't know why it didn't click before opening them that it was CHARCOAL shapoo and conditioner.However, after using it and drying my hair it left it feeling "lighter" and I could tell that the products did what they were advertised to do.Had my niece who has thick auburn hair (red headed and 1/4 Mexican so VERY thick somewhat coarse hair) and she was very happy with her results.

The shampoo made my hair feel dry and brittle as I was washing it. The conditioner made up for it and nourished my hair. It did leave it feeling "not as heavy" which is what I wanted. The smell is not great at all. My hair still looks dull although it did straighten easier.

I'm an avid cyclist and my hair gets very sweaty with a heavy salt residue. I've been washing it with a relatively harsh shampoo to get the gunk out - which makes my hair very dry and frizzy.My girlfriend suggested I try this clarifying charcoal shampoo. Wasn't sure what that meant exactly, but I was willing to give it a try.I'm glad I did! One shampoo gets that sticky sweat out of my hair, and surprisingly it didn't feel dry. But I used the conditioner anyway and no frizz.I'm normally not a "products" kind of guy, but this shampoo does the trick. Good size for the price too.
