UPDATE: After leaving the below review and returning the product to Amazon, GrowGang reached out to me to say they’d seen the video and agree the product looked faulty. They were working on a new version of the lamp and asked if they could send me one when they were ready. They kept me updated all along the way and it’s just arrived. It is very secure and perfectly holds the weight of the bulb. I’m really happy with it. I’m also extremely impressed with the customer service. They could have just issued the refund and left it there but they went out of their way to contact me and find me a resolution. I can tell from all the communication I’ve had with them that they really care about their brand and customers. I would 100% buy from them again and recommend. Original review: I’m not sure if the item I have is faulty but it does not hold the weight of the bulb at all. There is no grip in the rod no matter which way I turn it. I’m really disappointed and think I’m going to have to send it back. The other reviews talk about how sturdy the product is so I’m not sure if I should try to reorder a replacement?

I've purchased the pianta LED grow bulb for keeping my Venus fly traps happy when days are inconsistent with sun. I looked at table lamps and various light fittings trying to work out where I can put it in my flat ,along with my Venus fly traps. A family of three with a 6 year old ,space and neatness are high on the list . The clip on bulb holder is perfect as when it's nice the plants are outside but on days when light or weather are not ideal , I can put my plants on the window sill,clip the lamp on a cabinet door ,aim at the plants and I'm good to go The unit is incredibly sturdy,has a reassuring heft without been to heavy ,the bulb holder and neck are stiff enough that once it's positioned there is no effect from the bulbs weight. The clamp is also strong enough to be fit and forget ,it's got some nice grippy soft pads to eliminate surface damage and has enough opening and clamp force to clamp on to most things 2cm is the recommended thickness but it'll hold fine on things a bit bigger Tables ,shelf edges and cabinet doors are no problem. The unit is well finished too ,all connections and the inline switch feel robust, cable length is 2M so should be enough to reach most sockets from it's mount position Max wattage E27 bulb is 40w on my unit

This is a brilliant gooseneck clamp for a heavy grow bulb. It's extremely sturdy, with no sagging or moving, and the clip is really sturdy too. Would definitely buy this again. I paired it with the pianta growbulb and my plants are shouting out new leaves in October. 😁

Very strong arm being able to lift bulbs that other arms would not be able to, so in terms of that they’re great. Due to the arms being so think and strong, they are shorter and less mobile than other arms I’ve tried, so you have to faff about a bit more to find the right position. All in all I would recommend the brackets, albeit that they’re a bit expensive

This is a robust, quality, bulb holder. I use this with the Grow Gang full spectrum bulb, and it takes the weight nicely. There are no issues with the gooseneck slipping under the weight of the bulb, which does have some weight to it, and the metal construction means there are no issues with heat from the lamp. You get what you pay for, and pairing this with the bulb is a no brainer.

I've purchased 2 of these now and they're great. The grip on this is superior to others that I've tried. It definitely feels very secure. It can be quite difficult to bend depending on the angle you want, but I prefer that to it not being strong enough to stay in place when heavy grow bulbs are fitted into it. It is also quite short, so It's probably best to check that it fits your setup before buying. Overall, I'm really happy with them!

The gooseneck, while flexible, isn’t as long as I expected, which can limit positioning for larger plants. Overall, it’s a reliable and well-made holder, but not particularly standout, earning it a solid three stars.
