"Portable Evaporative Cooling Fan" is the sentence you should be looking at with this product, this does not work as a traditional air conditioning unit. This product will use the mist or cold water placed in the top compartment to cool the air that is being pushed through it by the fan. The mist uses the heat in the air to evaporate the water produced by the mist similar to what is happening when you boil water, the steam will "disappear" but with the caveat that it is now in the air which in somewhere relatively humid like the UK will not help you verry much. i bought this product in the hope that it would cool the hot air that is coming out of my PC and i will admit i did notice a difference in temperature when i placed ice in the water compartment but after a couple of hours this had gone and the water was noticeably warm when i put my finger in. As for noise and airflow the level 1 speed of the fan makes it unnoticeable after 5cm from the unit and would definitely disturb me if i was trying to go to sleep but this is subjective in my opinion, going to the higher 3 speed i can barely feel any airflow after 50-60 cm. over all i am disappointed by this product as some of the claims in the title and description are false and misleading at best. i have given this product 5 stars in the hope that this review will make it higher in the Amazon system but in reality i would give it a 2-3 star review, please do not waste your money on something like this if what you are after is true air conditioning.

Bought this for our campervan as we are going to Spain next week. It worked fine, but now the battery wont charge. Complete waste of time and money.

Excellent product. Despite it being so compact, it cools the room effectively. It’s very portable and the charge lasts for hours. Will recommend it to anyone.

I bought this for the car so the dogs were cool when left in car. I thought I would have to send it back as it wasn't charging. I had plugged in overnight but didn't charge. Then when I used the sofa and car to charge it charged up great. Does good job for what I wanted it for.

Got this to keep ourselves and the dogs cool in summer heat. The unit is fully portable as it's rechargable (a full charge seems to last for a couple of hours at least) , so it can be used in the car or outdoors if necessary. It produces a nice cool flow and is almost completely silent.

Works well just needs a bigger water container

I did like this, it spritzes water Vapour to cool the air being pushed through by the fan, so not a proper air con unit but for the price it’s ok. However.. I used it once, put it on to charge and now it doesn’t even switch on. Cant get it to work again so a bit disappointing really. Hence two stars, good idea but failed me.

I bought this to use in a tent in July. It worked great and lasted a long time on its own (like 4 hours) before it even needed to run off the power bank. It's not going to make the whole place cold like an air conditioner but it will cool down the direction that is blowing in. I use it in my room all the time now. It's worth the money if your expectations are set to it being a great fan instead of an AC.
