Built for big-mountain adventures, the men's Furio Pants let you charge through anything winter weather throws your way. 70D GORE-TEX fabric sheds moisture and wicks sweat from your inner layers and GORE-TEX Pro reinforces the seat and knees. Zip-out gaiters keep powder from sneaking into your boots.

OR's Furios are Up to Snuff
As a backcountry skier in Australia I was looking for a pair of pants that would fit a shorter guy (31" inseam) but still have the space for thermals and bulky ski boots - You guessed it, they have both. They also have reinforcing around the inside of the ankles to protect against abrasion although I have somehow managed to take a chunk out of one of the patches with what i would call 'very mild' adventuring i.e. I fell over going down a green run on piste. The full length zipper is also convenient. Only one downer - one pocket? And due to the fitted nature of the pants you can't a whole lot in that pocket... Conclusion - For mild temperature, mild wind adventuring where all you need to take with you is your car keys. Four Thumbs Up out of Five

Great pants in terms of quality build/functionality
Great pants in terms of quality build/functionality; however, sizing doesn't work for me. Small is too small and can't lift my knees up very high. Medium is too big, baggy, and a bit too long. No luck for me. Wish they could work.

maybe too narrow as over pants
GTX pants is very nice for outdoor wet activities, moisture doesn't go out perfect and still get wet inside and that makes me cold though. I think it should be wider or use elastic fabric. I feel too narrow to move my legs for mountain climbing.
