My brake calipers were in need of some TLC as they were really letting the look of the car down, and this kit made a big difference to the overall finish. The Foliatec Brake Calliper Paint Set is a complete DIY kit designed for painting brake calipers without needing to remove them (although for a perfect finish I would recommend that they are removed). The instructions were clear and easy to follow, especially regarding how to mix the paint with the hardener in the correct ratio. Once mixed, the paint was easy to work with and applied smoothly with the brush provided. In terms of working time, there is a reasonable window before the paint starts to harden. I found there was plenty of time to apply it comfortably without feeling rushed, and I had no issue finishing each caliper before it began to set. Drying time after application was also reasonable, allowing the calipers to cure properly and build up a solid finish. Preparation is key, but once the calipers were cleaned and ready, the application process itself was straightforward and not too time-consuming. The finish looked very good once dry, giving the calipers a much fresher and more premium appearance. One set was enough to paint all four calipers, and I still had some product left over, although it’s hard to say if there would be enough for another full set. Overall, I’m very happy with the result. It’s a relatively simple job that makes a noticeable visual improvement to the car.

Have been using Foliatec's 2 part caliper paint since the 1990s and is by far the best such paint. When cured it is unaffected by cleaning solvents, and easilly lasts 7+ years, and keeps calipers from looking like neglected things of rust. I remove the calipers and mounting brackets and paint both, 2 coats, and the job is a good one. When I have left over paint i use it the reverse of wheel hubs and the bearing calipers as ther areas manufactureres hardly ever paint these areas, obviously manufacturers think that because these areas are not readilly visible they can be left to rust, sad.

I used these on Porsche calipers, that i had stripped the paint off. Positives: -Easy to use (to mix and paint on). -What is left, is still in the tin, and useable (2 days later). -Dries quickly, so can get the coats on thick. -Very durable once dried. Negatives: - I wouldn't recommend brushing it on, use a sponge or spray gun if possible, as you see the brush marks (see pictures).

I have bought 4 of there always perfect results, definitely recommend, if you do the prep work.

For a paint you have to paint on, it’s pretty decent. I tried both the painting and dabbing technique. It’s quite easy to over apply and seems to self level quite well. These were about 3 coats, one started with quite heavy brush strokes, the other with light dabbing. Dries nicely with a nice hard lacquer effect which seems nice and durable with a nice shine. Would be interesting to see if it works being sprayed on with a compressor.

Bought this product after trying a different brand that re-acted badly on finish. I was a bit dubious after reading some reviews that stated how hard it was to use. However, trying it for myself; I was over the moon with the colour and finish. Its been done a while now and quite a few miles travelled, so I can honestly say.. the longevity is excellent and they still look good. Being a two step mix and reading reviews about the mix setting before they got round all 4 calipers.. I opted to jack the car putting it on stands to access all calipers in one. I thoroughly cleaned off the old paint and cleaned the calipers with the cleaner in the kit. Then began painting each caliper. The base white was first. It seemed chalky and difficult to put on without leaving brush marks (however it didn't matter in the end..as long as you got good coverage). Once that was dry I put on a coat of the mixed neon orange.. First coat looking a little opaque... left it the required drying time and did a second coat. I managed to get around all four calipers in plenty of time.. with plenty enough paint. The photo shows the colour. Vibrant. Lovely coverage and finish. One happy bunny 🙌 Would absolutely recommend.

The primer provided is unfortunately terrible, didn’t dry at all even following the instructions, had to remove all the primer off the calliper, supposedly enough to do 4 callipers and I only managed to just do 1, not impressed

De la que ví el bote tan pequeño , creí que no daría para las 4 pinzas. Yo pedí el negro brillante para un bmw e60. Cunde muchísimo echando buenas capas, llegué a echar 3 capas, el centro de los bujes y todavía sobró 1cuarto de pintura. Se estira muy bien, es líquida y gotea, tener cuidado, la primera capa sólo manchar para ir cubriendo, mejor a puntazos que ir extendiendo, las demás capas ya cubriendo bien. Yo cuando acabé con la última pinza ya empezaba otravez por la primera, más-menos una hora de una pasada a otra, y al empezar de nuevo ya estaba medio seco y muy brillante, me impresiono mucho el brillo, nosé de donde sale, porque el producto ensí al echarlo parece gomoso mate, apesar de que es líquido. Tiene muy buena pinta y queda ver la durabilidád. Yo no quité las pinzas del bmw e60, que son originales. Eso sí, lije a conciencia a mano con cepillo y lija, a taladro con concepillos vários para llegar a todos los rincones, las dejé brillantes. El limpiafrenos que trae también cunde entero para limpiar todas las pinzas. Muy contento con el resultado. Brillo impecable.

Fick måla 4-5 lager, kunde varit en bättre pensel annars jätte nöjd med produkten.
