Great book set
I purchased the set as a gift for a big DnD fan. It came quickly and in perfect condition.Since then, it’s been gifted and unwrapped and read through - the books are of great quality and full of awesome content, useful suggestions and ideas, and they also consists several one shot scenarios across the three books.A very useful resource for a DM at any point of their DnD journey.

Lovely gift set
Bought this for a Christmas gift. Really nice set my only issue is the bad packaging by amazon so it is slightly damaged on the corner. Books themselves are fine. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with Amazon packaging so won’t be buying books from here again.

Thin Sleeve
Whilst the books themselves are really good the same can't be said for the surrounding sleeve. Though the books are slightly different lengths by a few millimetres, the Sleeve the come in is very thin card, almost paper thin, and won't last long off the shelf or if being carried by hand. I wouldn't even trust the sleeve to last long in a backpack it's that thin, and even holding the books by the sleeve I feel it's only a matter of time until they rip out the other end.

Never arrived
I bought from a second-hand seller and the order never arrived. This seller is prolific for false items like this, upon doing my research. I was issued a refund, but I would've preferred the books because they look great

Like most reviewers, damaged but useful
The books are useful but the sleeve they come in is ripped along both edges of the flap and the books are slightly different sizes (which may not be a problem for a lot of people) , which may explain the ripped sleeve, everyone is better getting the books individually because the sleeve seems to come ripped for a lot of people.

It's okay.
The collected edition holds the book in a flimsy cardboard box, prone to ripping. Other than holding the books together there is no real need to buy the collected version. The actual books are okay. A lot of the content has a certain type of humour. It's quite silly but never laugh out loud funny. This is a subjective matter but I could see this appealing to young children much more than any adult. It's off-putting as it comes across as a childish attempt at being funny. It makes a great deal of the books unusable unless you write a campaign to suit the material, rather than the other way around. A poor man's Discworld comes to mind. Most of the ideas are very generic and lack detail. If you're looking for NPCs to fill out your campaign then, sure, you can this random person who dreams of one day finding a horse suitable for their height and you know that they carry 5 pence, some string and an odd pair of socks. If you really just need any NPC and whatever description will do then it's a good enough for that. Some characters are more detailed but they're still a sketch of a character. You'd have to put a lot of work into fleshing them out but they're so generic you wonder why you would.I couldn't find a single character I was interested in using and the way NPCs were divided (by their social status and location essentially) forces you to go through them one by one.The books contain maps but they're not great to look at, very detailed and yet difficult to understand what you're looking at sometimes. The question is though, who are these maps for? They're too small to work with, there is no digital source to print them so your players can't use them. The detail is not in interesting features as much as goldening the background tiles. The books have a lot of dungeons and some have some novel ideas but most is again very generic. They need a lot of work to make them interesting.Puzzles and riddles etc. are very simple and a lot of them you figure out at first glance. Riddles feel like they come from website with 100s of riddles you can ask your 8 year old when they're in a riddle phase.I do think these books have a place. If you just want to have a bit of fun and you just roll with the silliness and don't care if you have Goblins shooting themselves at you in a catapult and there is a cheese fountain in town with some easy puzzles, thrown together storyline... I'd use these books. If you have young kids who are interested in D&D then these are very suitable.I read through all of them a few times but ultimately I don't think they're very good but 2 stars because they do have merit and the layout etc. is professional

Nice one Amazon.
The media could not be loaded. You pay more to have a display case with the books and it's being handled without a care. Shame.
