Your own I’m a celebrity challenge.
Insects are the future. Children more keen to try than the adults.

These taste ok - like ready salted crisps but with legs!
These are actually quite tasty though they were bought for a fun surprise, not as a general snack. The legs can get stuck between your teeth but the bodies just crunch easily, they are light and airy and nothing like the horrors you see on TV eating trials! The lightly salted flavour is nice with no aftertaste at all.

Actually quite nice
I originally wanted to buy the flavoured ones but they only sell them as one bug not mixed bugs and I needed mixed bugs for the music video. Actually tasted alright I wouldn’t eat them all the time but surprisingly crunchy with no aftertaste. The boyfriend didn’t like them too much but was a fun different thing to try!

surprisingly yummy
The media could not be loaded. We ordered this for fun and out of curiosity. One of my kids absolutely loved the taste and the crunchiness of this “treat”, but my other child was too squeamish to even try it. They taste surprisingly nice and they are super healthy as they are rich in protein. It is packed in a 20g bag. It is a unique tasting experience, I cannot even compare it to anything I tried before. Personally, I Liked it very much and I definitely would try it again.

A snack food adventure!
Having previously tried the Bugvita Teriyaki and Coronation crickets and really liking them, I was keen to give these a try.The crickets I found to be more immediately palatable as they're not so easily identifiable as insects. The mealworms and locusts, however, are bigger and far easier to identify, so they're a bit more of a challenge to eat, especially if you're the kind of person who's put off by the idea of eating insects from the get go. Texturally, they're all pretty similar; like dry, crispy crackling or bits of potato crisp. The salty flavour also enforces the pork cracking mouthfeel and overall taste. Other than the saltiness, there's no real distinct flavour to speak of. Compared to the other cricket flavours I've tried, these are my least favourite, but they're still pretty tasty. They're fine to eat on their own, but would also be great to use on a salad. The crickets I would be happy to eat all the time, but I do struggle a bit with the mealworms, as I 'm more used to feeding them to birds! For a 20g pack, they are on the expensive side for a snack food, but they're well worth trying at least once, if only for the experience.

Mildly pleasant, but probably not for the squeamish
The media could not be loaded. This is a fairly small packet (which for the squeamish is perhaps just as well).I've tried crickets before, in a barbecue source, and found them quite pleasant. And since they are small, you really don't notice their insectness. This group of insects far more insecty, and is quite a novelty in this country. In terms of flavour and texture, it is actually quite innocuous - a mild salty flavour and a very slight crunch. What I do find a bit challenging are the large locusts, which look a bit too much like...well, insects.Verdict, something of a novelty in the UK, but not unpleasant.

Is it meant to be powdered?
Basically an insect powder. Don’t think this is how it was meant to arrive?
