CZUR Portable Foldable Studio Box for Document Scanner

I have the CZUR document scanner. It is producing good results so why did I buy this gadget? Well, if you have an overhead light, or sunlight through the window, that can overwhelm the lights in the CZUR. So I got in the habit of turning of the overhead lights and just keeping indirect light in the room. With this box, I can leave the lights on. And with sun coming in, if I angle the box at a right angle to the window I can still scan. The only issues come with setup. Not all the pieces have a great fit when joining them together. The cloth box is difficult to mount over the frame. It is not a good fit, and all the zippers will not close all the way. But it does the job.

Appears to be well made and should last through multiple setups. However instructions say it takes two people to assemble. Not sure 5 could assemble it. The tubes are longer that will fit inside the cover. I suggest you supply tubes that are about 3/4" shorted when assembled. Frankly the light box setup needs more of a video than the scanner. Foldable tube and snap in sockets from the side or a ball fitting at the corners that would snap in place might make this a one person assembly. For on the road into library or out in the field, you should not need a helper just to assemble the light box.

Yes, this helps to eliminate ambient light. But you know what works just as well? A big cardboard box. And if you want, you can spray the interior with matte black paint. So, save yourself a lot of money.
