Old one made a loud pop when I moved around in my chair and was SUPER annoying. It was a $500 chair and this new $20 lift fixed the problem. Easy to remove old one and install new with a pipe wrench and rubber mallet

working good so far! had it on my chair for a few months. replaced the cylinder on my drafting chair that was way too high, which was hurting my knees. definitely took a lot of work removing the old cylinder, but slipping the new one in was easy. hope it stands the test of time!

Installed it about 5 minutes ago and it only extends to about 10inches not the 11 or so they state, so we'll see how it works for the next couple of days......

Cylinder started leaking off after 30 days. Cylinder just goes all the way down now. Cheap for a reason.

The 2.5 inch version is an exact match for the original cylinder height of the Nightingale CXO. I went with a different "universal" replacement cylinder originally and was shocked to find that the ride height was far too tall once I installed it.Thankfully the 2.5 inch HOSALI cylinder basically gave me exactly the same ride height as before, except now the chair can be adjusted unlike the original cylinder that gave out after 13 years.

this was the most easy to install, and has is just a great product. I would highly recommend it.

I bought this needing to replace the Cylinder for my Sitmod gaming chair. Its a few inches shorter than the original.Try the next size up for Sitmod chairs.I didn't think the height difference would be that big a problem, but as I type this my hands are hanging on the desk but my long arms can't rest on the chairs arms, even at max adjustments.
