Gritin 19 LED Rechargeable Book Light for Reading in Bed

Years ago, I had one of the spindly, "Itty Bitty Book Light," and I don't know why, in all the ensuing years, I didn't think to see if there was currently something similar, but not so flimsy, available. What made me finally check Amazon was that in walking onto the deck outside my bedroom one recent night, I could see that my bedside reading lamp was bleeding light from the window -- even through closed, supposedly light-blocking blinds -- and into the bedroom window of the building next door. I do my best to avoid inconveniencing others, but I'd been unaware that for all the years I've been living in my current flat, my late-night reading must have had my neighbors cursing me. So I immediately checked Amazon for a book light, and it took me just minutes to decide on this one. I'm so happy I found this light, and my pet and my neighbors are probably happy as well, as I'm no longer ruining their sleep. This little light is much more substantial than it appears in the product photo, and seems to be built to last. The clamp is strong and large enough to stay put, but not too heavy for paperbacks (you'll need to clamp at least a quarter-inch section of pages). Changing the light intensity and color is easy and straightforward, and the sturdy but supple neck and light bar are easy to adjust. I've had this little light just under a week, and in that time have read two paperbacks and a hardcover, and the clamp worked well on each of the differing cover weights. The initial charge is still going strong, and only last night did the power-indicator lights go from four to three, so I'm guessing there's at least nine more books (well, maybe not "War and Peace" or one of those massive Elizabeth George novels) worth of power remaining after just that first charge. If you're a late-night reader, you, your eyes, and anyone you share a bedroom with -- from pets to people -- will appreciate this well-designed and sturdy book light that holds a long-lasting charge. Bright enough and not too bright. Wide enough for a large textbook. Clip is strong without it being too strong where it will tear you pages or scratch plastic. The clip also functions as a stand so it’s like you tiny pocked desk lamp. I sometimes clip it to my IPad and it lights up my working space. Awesome for travel and will protect your eyes from reading in the dark. Adjusts very easily while at the same time staying in place. Looks great in white, the white is matte. So easy to use and versatile. Love it!

Liked it so much I bought another as a gift! The charge last a really long time! The light options are perfect. The clip doesn't damage the book. I don't have even one thing negative to say. It is lightweight and can even be used as a bookmark in a pinch. Best book light I've had over the years. I really like all the light settings and the ability to maneuver it if needed but the light covers the entire page. It folds completely flat for easy travel. Truly don't have anything negative and would buy for any book reader.

This book light is perfect and honestly better than I expected. The quality is excellent and it doesn’t feel cheap at all. It has three different light spectrums, with four brightness levels for each, so it’s easy to find a comfortable setting. The clip is strong and stays securely in place, and the flexible neck holds its position really well. I’ve used it quite a bit and haven’t even had to charge it yet. I’m really happy with it and would absolutely buy these as gifts for my book-loving friends.

Such a great little lamp for reading. Love it and how it lights up your book at the angle you want without disturbing the person next to you. It has different light intensity settings and light colors - bluish, warm and white.

Love this book light. I’ve had it for around a month, haven’t charged it at all, and it’s only lost one 1/4 of its charge. The clip is heavy enough to stand in its own, but light enough to hang on the back of a book. It has 3 settings for light type and you can adjust the brightness. Comes with charger.

The extra large “T” shaped light from Gritin delivers a LOT to like. This light offers super nice quality with a soft touch neck, sturdy clamp and rubber gripping pads. The use is intuitive and it makes no compromises. The stepless dimming is not for me, but it does work very well and will appeal to many readers. That said, it offers stepped outputs as well. The 3 individual buttons are nice, no consolidating features to one button. For me the only drawback is the color temps. I found the amber to be very unappealing and the cool temp very harsh. The mid temp does work well. This is a good pick especially for those who want more output than the compact models offer. It is likely my second favorite light here. I had insomnia reading on my phone at night even in dark mode. I am now reading paper novels with this book light. It is perfect. It clips on easily and holds well. I love the easiness of button controls. However, the best feature is the 5 levels of brightness, and 3 light types: daylight, white and amber. The low amber allows me to read but doesn’t activate my circadian rhythm and allows me to get drowsy. My sleep has greatly improved. No more direct, blue light for me. I highly recommend this item.
