Although I don't have the original rubber seal on my 1999 Firebird's hatch (prone to water damage), this product appears and as good if not better quality. I chose this to cover the side gaps where there was nothing stopping the rain to from leaking into the rear of the car and it is so far working perfectly! Installing was a breeze with excellent adhesion, and as to fitment just cut to size with a sharp knife or box cutter. Will keep an eye on it and see how it holds up the rest of the summer.

Nice thick seal. Used this on my tonneau cover for my truck. No more water leaks in the bed of my truck

Looks very solid and good quality. Seal the edge of my truck hard tonneau cover from leaking water into the truck bed. The weatherstrip stuck and stayed in place during initial installation. The truck bed cover was then installed and pressed down on the weatherstrip to keep it in place. Thetefore don't know much about the adhesive quality.

Worked perfectly to seal the lid on my bassboat.

Appears to be a dense yet subtle rubber gasket. Self adhesive hold the seal in place, but care should be exercised in placing the seal in its place on initial attempt. The adhesive holds immediately and corrections might require tearing if you need to make an adjustment.

What a mess. Sticky glue all over.
