I brought this a month ago, installation easy, setup easy. I have windows 7, does not work with usb 3, just plug into usb 2 slot, run setup program, after windows re-start, it updated the wifi device driver, and all is well. nice small and compact. found our router through thick walls. good signal.thankyou.UPDATE. After a fresh install with Windows 10. All is well and working fine. Happy with product.

Following advice from reviews I loaded the software from the mini CD via Windows 10.The instructions are clear and comprehensive so the booklet can be avoided.With my laptop wifi turned off, the dongle by-passed my wifi card and antenna (one or both of which had stopped working) and delivered the same speeds as I had when connected by the ethernet cable.Problem solved at a fraction of the cost of repairing the laptop.Downside is the size of the dongle sticking out the side - smaller ones may have a smaller antenna so may or may not be as effective, but that's why four stars and not five.

Product is fair quality only; manufacturer is not who is put on the product name (Proster are the company trading these not the makers) and it turned out to be the same as one I bought previously - Chinese manufacture, cheap and not that great. Amateurish effort all round, the price is the only thing to recommend it and frankly you could probably get one as cheap in your local PC store.Can't recommend this, and to put the icing on the cake, they used the wrong name when emailing me to give them a good review!EDIT: Received another email today trying to scam a good review out of me. All I can say is that the people leaving 5-star reviews for this company must be sock puppet accounts working for them, as they are not honest or reliable. Constantly nagging me for a good review for their crappy product, shoddy support, and scamming by pretending to be a different company is not going to make me give a good review!

Further to my first review where I could not get the Wi-fi dongle to work, the seller provided me with a new dongle free of charge.This time around the dongle worked as soon as I plugged it in, so I have not had to rely the mini-disk nor the pre-printed user manual.The pre-printed manual supplied with this dongle, although the type face is quite small it is just about legible.I still cannot see any reference to W10 but as the dongle worked OK without this then it is not a problem.I have now had a chance to run a speed test on this and compared it to my old Linksys Dual Band AE3000 dongle.I ran 10 tests at random on both and found that on average the Linksys had a download rate of 28.4Mb/s and an upload speed of 6.5Mb/s. In comparison the Proster dongle achieved rates of 18.8Mb/s and 5.2Mb/s.So although the Proster dongle is upload speed is slower than my Linksys it is perfectly adequate for my needs and as it only cost 30% of the price of the Linksys (the Linksys is on Amazon at £39.99) then it is good valueOLD REVIEW:Just could not get this to work, just got messages about driver not installed. Purchased this as it said it was W10 compatible - not convinced it is, because not once did the CD instruction manual refer to W10, all other OS's under the sun yes, but not W10.I tried to use the mini CD to download up to date documentation and worryingly clicking on the link on their own Mini-CD went to a "Not Found Page" error message!!!You will need to use the mini-CD for the instructions because the pre-printed typeface is impossibly small and even with a magnifying glass and reading glasses it was still more or less impossible to read.Needless to say I returned this as soon as I could!

If your Laptop or PC's wifi can only give you a 2.4GHz connection and your not getting speeds your provider is supplying you with, then I highly recommend this product. It worked for me straight out of box but it comes with it's own drivers just in case. Once step up you get a choice of two wireless frequencies 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Having connected to 5GHz not forgetting to disconnect from 2.4GHz. It more than doubled my internet speed, from 47Mbps 2.4GHz to 102Mbps 5GHz. which is what my provider says I should be getting at 5Ghz. Fast delivery, well packaged and well pleased.

I purchased one of these Proster AC Wi-Fi Dongles back in September 2016. I had problems connecting this to my 5G Wi-Fi Network (it kept dropping off every 20-30secs, also tried updating drivers etc.) so instead connected it to my 2.4G Wi-Fi Network which worked fine.A couple of days later l received an email from Proster customer feedback asking if l was happy with their product. Clearly l had issues, so l sent them an email explaining the problem which l was experiencing when trying to connect to my 5G Wi-Fi Network. The very next day l received a response and notification that a new Dongle was in the post.The new Proster AC Wi-Fi Dongle arrived 2 days later and l have been connected to my 5G Wi-Fi network ever since.On my Windows 10 PC the Wi-Fi dongle was completely plug and play (not sure if this would be the same for other Operating Systems). Plugged it into a USB 2.0 port, let the dongle and Windows 10 sort out the driver, selected my 5G Wi-Fi Network, entered my password for connection, job done. For me and my setup it was that simple, your experience may vary depending on setup and operating system.This product would not have received the full 5 stars if it weren't for the good customer service and eventual ease of use. As always, your mileage may vary.

Great for gaming. Bought this for my new computer which didn't have a wireless card and thought it'll be a temporary fix. Now given that it giving me really good speeds and reliability beyond my previous laptop's capabilities I think i'll keep this as my primary WiFi device.Con: Nothing other than the glossy plastic is rather good at catching fingerprints.EDIT: It cant seem to see my 5G wireless band reliably. It sees the others and sometimes the 5G band but i cant seem to get it to constantly connect to it.
