Sturdy for a pillow
This pillow is pretty durable. It keeps it's shape provides great support. I am a side sleeper and use it to support my arms from exceeding a long shoulder stretch and therefore avoiding shoulder pain while supporting my chest and head. I also rest my chin on it that keeps my head from digging into my chest. The other nice feature is that you can remove and possibly add material to suit you liking.

Unusually good pillow
I love this pillow. I bought the small one this time because the large one had so much in it I ended up breaking it into two pillows anyway. It is the best supportive moldable pillow I've ever used. I will continue to purchase it. The hulls eventually get broken up and disintegrated and doesn't stay as fluffy, but that's taken 3 years I think. It's really great for neck issues

Five Stars – The Best Pillow I’ve Ever Used (Again!)
I’ve been using buckwheat pillows for six years now, and after experimenting with every type of pillow under the sun—latex, memory foam, latex/gel combos, cotton, feather, synthetic—you name it, I can confidently say that buckwheat is the best. Nothing matches the orthopedic and ergonomic support it offers for the cervical spine. It was time to replace my previous buckwheat pillow of three years, and this one did not disappoint. The quality of the hulls is excellent (and I appreciate that they correctly call them hulls, not husks), and the cotton lining is durable and breathable. It molds perfectly to the shape of my head and neck, offering support exactly where I need it.Without a doubt—five stars. If you’re looking for proper neck alignment and all-night comfort, skip the gimmicks. This is the real deal.

Surprisingly good neck support
Strangely good? I was skeptical, not sure how seeds could be comfortable to sleep on, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. It molds perfectly to your head and provides good support. If you like a fluffy pillow, this probably isn’t for you, but if you need the support, this is incredible.

Good pillow
I do love this pillow. I tend to not pay attention to details sometimes, so it was smaller than I was expecting. But I do love it!

Reduced neck pain
I used a cervical pillow for a number of years to help with neck pain, but I increasingly found myself waking up with my head at odd angles and a very sore neck. I read quite a few pillow reviews and had never heard of a buckwheat pillow, but I thought it was worth a shot. I’m happy to say I’m very pleased with it. I bought the smallest size because it was on sale and although it doesn’t fill my king sized pillow case, the size has been enough for me. The texture of the pillow takes a little getting used to because it is not cushiony and feels somewhat like a beanbag. It has some weight to it and is very different from every other pillow I’ve used, so I wasn’t sure how I was going to respond to it. Initially, it smelled like buckwheat, which I actually found quite pleasant, but two months in, the smell is gone. While the pillow is not soft, it is extremely moldable and supportive and it has helped my neck pain a lot. I tend to fall asleep on my side and usually end up on my back unconsciously, but regardless of my sleeping position, I’ve yet to end up with neck pain from it. My only complaints are that it’s too heavy for air travel, which is a bummer because it has really helped me. It’s also not ideal for sitting up in bed due to the weight and movability of the buckwheat, but I ended up ordering a reading pillow for that and just use this for when I’m lying down. Overall, I am very happy with it and would recommend it, especially to those who have neck pain that other pillows haven’t helped.

Shape it first
Shape the pillow before you put your head on it, for maximum comfort. If you just put your head on it then the pillow feels stiff. Instead use your hand to make an indent, then put your head on itUpdate: After about 1 year this pillow's texture changed a lot, now it feels more like a sandbag. I think the buckwheat hulls broke into smaller pieces. Since this change my nose gets stuffy too - it might be fine buckwheat dust.

Cured my neck pain! Great Product, I ordered Large one.
This product cured my neck pain in one week! This pillow is amazing. It feels heavy yet super pliable, and the buckwheat husk moves inside the pillow to conform and adjust to the head and neck space. It is incredibly supportive when I sleep on my back and especially on my side. It smells great too, very subtle natural buckwheat herb scent.
