I’ve purchased and installed three of these in my residences and have been very pleased with the ease of operation and design. I had an issue with the first safe I purchased and the company resolved it immediately and exceeded my expectations. I recommend concealing the safe behind a picture using hinges to make it easily accessible.

The XDeer flat wall safe is fantastic — secure, easy to install, and offers quick access with the fingerprint scanner. It fits perfectly between studs and provides peace of mind. However, I did purchase the recommended picture frame to conceal it, and it turned out to be flimsy and didn’t hold up well.

The bad: shelves held into place with plastic screws broken during shipping. Fixed with zip ties. Instructions ok but translation confusing in a few key parts. Magnets holding key not strong enough. Fixed with packing tape. One bolt into stud snapped off during install. The good: low profile in case I want to add a picture in front of it, fingerprint scanner works well, great place to store keys, cash.

Easy to install, super intuitive and friendly to use. I use the Biometric feature daily as i keep all my valuables in the wall safe. I placed a painting over the wall safe using a Continuous Piano Hinge. I use the safe daily and no issues whatsoever. I like the locking mechanism feature being place at the side of the safe leaving me with more shelf room.

Update: Xdeer did a good job of making sure my issue was taken care of. I loved this safe. It's size makes it excellent for hiding it behind a frame. The convenience of using the fingerprint scanner or pin code is great. No need to dig out a key, then re-hide it whenever I want to open it. Unfortunately, the motor has now stopped working. When trying to use the keypad or the fingerprint reader, the pad lights turn white, as normal, but the safe won't open and the pad then turns red and beeps 5 times. I contacted XDeer through their website, but so far no response (4 days as of this review). If they respond and are able to solve my issue, I will change the rating to 5 stars. I really do like this safe, I hope I'm able to fix it.

Absolutely love my wall safe. Have put it in and it is functioned the way it is supposed to. No issues at all.

The wall safe is advertised and stated as having dimensions 4.13"D x 16.22"W x 22.04"H. However upon measuring the safe itself the depth is 4” but even worst the width is 15”. It’s a good thing I measure the safe itself self and looked at the mounting instructions. It wanted me to cut a width size of 15.03” if I did that, the metal flange of the safe would push through the wall and not conceal the wall cut out. Someone is China got their dimensions off by one full inch this means if I kept this safe and installed I would have had to add extra wood 2x4 wood piece to enlarge the hole to fit and secure it to a wood stud. See the pictures for yourself. I don’t recommend this safe.

Safe is as advertised. Fairly heavy duty. Easy to instal. I thought the locking mechanism would be more substantial. The biometric sensor is a bit finicky but all in all I would recommend this wall safe. It did have some shipping damage that was unfortunate.

Very good safe, easy to install and use. Happy with all aspects of the safe. Deliver was very slow but had to come from the States.
