The media could not be loaded. Works great with or without the remote. Only 4 stars for the same reason a lot of others pointed out, base is not heavy enough.

My old floor lamp died and I needed a replacement. Something where I could direct the light to exactly where I need it. I do intricate detail work and good lighting is essential.Boy was I disappointed with this almost from the beginning. It looked flimsy, but I figured I’d give it a shot. Well, I went to move the flex head last night to get better lighting and the lamp toppled over breaking all of the rod connections rendering the whole thing useless (it was from the start) the base of this lamp is no where near big enough or heavy enough to supportIt. Unless you plan on gluing the base in place, stay away from this.
