Low salt yeast extract
For anyone who likes yeast extract but doesn't want the high salt content of the leading brands this is a good buy. Very tasty and only 0.8% salt. Take care to go for the 'No Added Salt' option as Meridian do also sell a version with added salt.

Great taste and value
Slight bitterness but still great

Great taste!
Better than Marmite! Lower salt than the low salt version of Marmite and it’s gluten free!

Bad batch?
A staple in our household, on toast every morn! We go through 3 jars very quickly :) However this batch tastes completely different to usual....not in a good way. Expiration isn't until 2023, so not sure why it's so awful. Had to bin all three jars :(

some information is missing
The product is good, meaning that we like it as much as other spreads such as Marmite and it has no added salt, which is a plus for us.It states in the label that is packed in the uk and "produced of more than one country", it would be interesting to know if it's EU or non EU at least.

Way less salt, good for toast and cooking with.
Much lower in salt than marmite, which is good because even low salt yeast extracts taste too salty to me. It's also easier to use for cooking without ending up with too much salt. It has a different, but definitely not unpleasant taste. On the other hand, it's too thick, and will definitely tear your bread up if you don't warm it first.

Like Marmite, but safe for coeliacs
If you're coeliac and miss Marmite (which is not gluten-free at 50ppm) then this is the closest thing I've found to replace it.Yes, Tesco do a yeast extract that is cheaper, but it's also milder in flavour and less tangy. The flavour on this is not quite Marmite, but it's still very good for all the usual applications: toast, cheese and marmite sandwiches, adding depth to a stock, etc. There are generally multibuy deals to be had to make this feel more affordable, and for those of us living in rural areas with fewer specialist health food stores, the ability to buy this easily from Amazon is a real plus.

✔️
Oops, accidentally bought nine! Still will save me restocking for a while. Taste is very similar to marmite, but this is gluten free. I keep rebuking, so it must be okay.
