Dutch Style Hardwood Cheese Press

Top quality construction. Easy to assemble and I did oil it as suggested. Great addition to my cheese making supplies.

My wife had been using a fruit press, and saw this and wondered if it would be easier than hand cranking to get a pressure.Install was quick, provided bag (to fill with water for weight) holds 5-6 lbs easily.Multipliers were easy to understand. Overall better than the press.A couple of things would make it 5 stars- add another bag (or allow you to buy it separately) to allow heavier weights, and most importantly the small block on the end of the post needs to be bigger. My wife had a couple of molds that the block barely fit. Hard to distribute pressure over that small of an area. Maybe add another 1 or so in each direction is all it needs.

I was able to find some dumbbells for added weight/pressure. I’m able to press any cheese now. Make sure you have space to store it when not in use.

I finally decided on what style of cheese press to purchase. This Dutch press is just what I needed. It is beautifully made, sturdy and well finished. The drainage tray works exceptionally well. I am very pleased with my purchase.
