Picked this up for my Dobie who’s got a thick coat that loves to tangle if I don’t stay on top of it. The deshedding brush pulls out a surprising amount of loose hair without being rough, and the metal comb is perfect for working through any mats or tangles—especially after she’s been running around outside like a maniac.The grip is comfortable and doesn’t slip even during longer grooming sessions. It’s simple, no-frills, but it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. If your dog or cat has longer fur or tends to mat up, this set makes grooming way easier—for both of you.Not a miracle tool, but it’s dependable and well worth the price. I bought this for my brother’s older dog. He had been complaining about how much his dog sheds. I had been trying to get my brother to use a rake- like brush on his dog. When I showed him how much fur I got off his dog only after four strokes - he was amazed! I really like this pair bc his dog seemed to like it when I brushed him. The teeth on this item did not hurt him at all.

My sweet kitty has a very thick undercoat. Our last brush did not help her shed enough so I tried this comb. My cat is very sensitive and doesn’t liked to be groomed very long. The De-shedding hook comb was great. I could very gently run it across her coat for only a few minutes and it pulled out clumps of hair. She seemed to be fine with it. I tried the fine tooth comb and she got angry when I tried to use it, so I guess I will be mostly using the hooked comb on her. She seemed to like that one enough. The wider side seemed to work a lot better on her fur.

I’ve been brushing my 1-year-old Corgiranian every few days but noticed she’s still shedding a lot. I’ve never had a longer-haired animal before this and didn’t know anything about “raking” to tidy the undercoat. Well, this is what we needed! She also had two tangles- one behind each ear, that the tangle-removing side completely fixed. Her fur is very thick and fluffy and this grooming tool finally got her cleaned up successfully. What a game-changer. Advice: give your pet a valuable distraction and be prepared to spend 10-20 minutes with possible breaks the first time. We removed a LOT of fur!

Amazing! My 1yr old working bred Aussie doesn't have his full adult coat yet as far as length. I've been brushing him daily with a wet brush, getting down to his skin. I could feel where his undercoat needed to be thinned, and thought I was getting a good deshed. When I started with the Shed Monster I was shocked at the amount of hair that came out with a partial brushing! I use it a couple of times a week and the amount of hair that I'm preventing from the floors and my bed is a game changer! I'll never be without it.

I had no idea how much I needed this! My long haired cat has been brushed for maybe a total of 10 minutes and I brushed off enough fir to make another full-sized male cat. And she’s just getting started! I had been using the same brush I use for the short hairs, but I was WRONG! The only thing I wish this brush came with is a vacuum because the fir is everywhere! But it’s not on the cat, which is the point! Love this thing!

My cat is half Maine coon but 100% hairy. I have tried several brushes and combs but when I saw this one, I thought I would try again and I’m sure glad I did. I ran it through my cats belly hair and was shocked at what I saw. Unthinkable amounts of hair came out with ease. My cat threw fits because he didn’t like to get his belly brushed but the brush slid through without any pulling so it didn’t hurt him. He bites when he doesn’t like having something done but not hard and at least he was comfortable enough to have this done. Sharp enough to get through his super thick belly hair but not to cut him. Well worth the money and the risk. Definitely recommended
