I purchased these foil emergency blankets for reasons that were, at the time, impeccable—though accessible only to my sleeping mind. In the first dream, I knew with absolute certainty that I required them. The situation was urgent yet undefined, the sort of emergency that demands preparedness without ever troubling itself to explain why. The blankets shimmered with purpose. I felt reassured. In the second dream—deeper, clearer—I was already using them. I was warm. I was safe. I was nobly wrapped in reflective dignity, protected from the elements and from regret. The blankets performed flawlessly, exactly as one hopes emergency equipment will, even when the emergency itself remains symbolic. Then I awoke. Upon inspection, the world was calm. No exposure, no crisis, no immediate need for thermal intervention. The blankets remained folded, pristine, and faintly judgmental. I realized then that while I may someday require one foil emergency blanket, I almost certainly do not require four. And yet, I do not resent them. They sit quietly, prepared for futures both real and imagined. The material is lightweight, neatly packaged, and convincingly reflective—capable, I am sure, of saving a life or at least dramatically underscoring one’s seriousness in a mild inconvenience. Been on my list for the longest time and so glad that I purchased. Convenient packaging and good quality product for the price and intended use. Versatile item and easy to use for how you would like. Expected silver color and appears to fit many needs or ideas for these mylar blankets.

These emergency blankets are lightweight, compact, and really useful to keep in a car, travel bag, camping gear, or emergency kit. They fold down super small but open up to a great size and help retain body heat surprisingly well. I bought these for travel and festival camping, and they gave extra peace of mind without taking up much space at all. I also like that the pack includes multiple blankets so you can keep extras in different bags or vehicles. Great value and definitely something practical to always have on hand for outdoor activities or unexpected situations.

Definitely worth the price. I use these as interior window insulation during hot summer months. They reflect the sun’s radiant rays away from the home, reducing the interior temps by 5° to 10°. Also, it darkens the room, but one can still see through them.

You can carry this in your cars glove compartment, it is very small and compact, if you wanted you can carry this in your purse or pocket it’s very thin, a little bit bigger than a sports card.

I bought these in case of an emergency. Hope to never use them. They appear to be well made and able to to reused, while still being small enough to easily fit in a glovebox.

I got these to cover my patio windows to help keep the heat out. It gets so hot in the morning. This has kept the temp in the house cooler and works good. Best thing is I can still see outside but no one can see in.

This is a really good bargain for such a large supply of mylar blankets. They have many uses besides for emergencies to keep out excessive heat or cold. I of course always keep one in my glove compartment for emergencies, but I also use these for other purposes as well. For example, I am allergic to perfume and other scented products and personal body care products, which tend to get on chairs at doctor's offices, exam tables, airplane seats, hotel mattresses, and so on. Therefore I always have these with me when I travel and I can cover a mattress and then put my own sleeping bag sheet or other sheets on top of it. It's a little crunchy under the sheets, but it keeps the smell of the laundry soap from soaking through my own sheets and from emitting odor into the room and around where I'm laying on the bed. It's also great for putting on chairs and seat seats in planes and doctor's offices so I don't get perfume and scented laundry products on my clothing - which sometimes is impossible to get out even after washing and soaking. Some of the newer mylar blankets in the stores also have this waterproof layer that smells like the most hideous burnt rubber smell or something, and these blankets do NOT have that layer on them.
