resides in the ability he has to create tension and summon our worst primal fears without ever giving out or showing too ...
The first Anabelle effort was less than impressive, and so with this new follow up/prequel instalment I did not expect to be entertained much. I was wrong.James Wan is a by now a renowned director, who worked and produced little gems of the horror cinema such as Lights Out. His strength, I think, resides in the ability he has to create tension and summon our worst primal fears without ever giving out or showing too much. And because you don’t see much and cannot process the whole of what you are seeing, you are bound to let your worst nightmare come to life to complete what you are seeing on screen, creating genuine terror. This movie is no exception and once the premise are established with great dexterity (it only takes a few minutes at the start of the opening scene), the main characters are introduced and the house of fear is presented. When in broad day light, the house is a beautiful Victorian piece of architecture, but comes the night and things start to go south quickly. The bizarre and the weird start to happen pretty fast too – as soon as the characters are entering their newly found home.Without giving out too much, I found it to be pretty terrifying and entertaining at the same time. Some scenes are masterpiece of the art of balancing the story telling & visual horror that only James Wan seems to know how to use properly. The end and post credit scene hints at a follow up story involving a church…can’t wait!Recommended.

Creepy, gave me the chills!
This movie knows how to build tension and deliver some seriously spooky moments. The creepy doll and eerie atmosphere had me jumping a few times. Not for the faint-hearted, but perfect if you love a good scare!

Excellent guaranteed of a good scare
I got this movie on prime so I could watch the conjuring universe in chronological order (time of event's happened in) starting with the Nun. I would recommend watching the Nun first don't want to say why as I don't want give away spoilers.Anyway the film Annabelle the creation is good horror with loads of tension jump scares It made me jump and scream quite a few time's so you are guaranteed of a good scare. even the same song that played through out some scenes makes it creeper and your guaranteed a good scare at the end. The film rated age 15 but I would only recommend it to 18+ although some age 15 could watch it if an adult watched it with them.Overall good film I would give it 10 out 10

All round great horror film, slightly let down by CGI
This is a good film as far as most horror films go. It has been well thought out and executed. There are a few jumpy bits however I wouldn’t call it “scary”. Here’s the thing.... I believe that all The Conjuring films are great and in fact the best around along with the Insidious films. There is just one thing that lets them down. The CGI demons, I cringe every time I see the Nun especially in theses films. The films master everything else perfectly but I believe we should not see the demon faces, not when the look like that.

Good Movie and packaging.
Good movie, the package came really fast (faster than they said), which is nice, movie package also had a sleeve for the dvd case and the dvd movie was brand new sealed, which is nice for 5£. Good movie and Good Seller.
