Clock Mechanism Replacement Battery Operated Movement Silent DIY Wall Clock Repair Parts Replacement Shaft Length 16mm(20/32 inches)

This is a very cost-effective clock mechanism replacement. I got it specifically to use with an older handmade clock with a ridiculously loud ticking sound. This worked beautifully - pop off the hands on the old one, twist off the mechanism on the back, put this one through the hold, screw on the retaining nut, pop the hands on (you have a couple choices of hour/minute/second hand), and plug in a single AA battery. The hands themselves are thin stamped metal, with black paint on one side. It's very easy to bend them even while putting them on - it'll take some care to avoid that. I would've marked it down a star or two by the flimsiness of the hands, but considering the cost it's not bad - if put on carefully and not touched regularly then it'll be fine indefinitely. The second hand has smooth movement and it's kept accurate time so far for the past couple days, and (best of all) it's very nearly silent - I've had wristwatches much louder than this (I can only hear this with my ear right up to it).

This is working perfectly for my old clock. I was able to set it up get it running and I actually still have an extra set so glad I ordered this.

I tried another brand but it didn't work out and the directions were confusing. This one had clear directions and the second hand indicated right away that it was working. (My original clock did not have a second hand but this mechanism needs one to work.) What I didn't realize was I needed to adhere the black mechanism to the clock. I used two sided sticky tape to adhere the mechanism to the back of the clock because if you don't the mechanism just dangles will not stay flush and operate properly. I saved $250 by not replacing this clock with a newer version of the same clock - who knew clocks have gotten so expensive! I know I paid less than $35 for this one 5 years ago. The clock is very quiet.

Good product but it just wouldn't fit what I needed it to but I would say you know if you have a smaller clock that it would work great

Hands did not fit so had to use superglue on each hand so they would fit on the shaft. The holes were smaller than the shaft and did not fit properly so I ordered another mechanism. Hopefully these hands will fit.

Good clock repair kit! We had an electric wall clock hanging in our guest room, that had a traditional "ticking" motor. It kept good time, but was loud. I ordered this motor that snapped into the clock frame perfectly, and friction-fit the hands on. The sweep second hand did rub against the glass covering the clock, and interfered with proper operation. I simply removed the second hand, and everything worked fine. Keeps great time.

There was No Replacement Hands for the Clock that were Advertised...also no Hanging Device that was also Advertised. Only item sent was the Battery Replacement Box.
