My husband and I are avid travelers, we travel on and off throughout the year about 2-1/2 months total. We bring our 2 cats with us everywhere!! We started traveling a couple of years ago when we got our tabby. Our tabby is well trained and does great with a seat belt connector attached to his harness. This past year, we adopted another little boy. We took an around town trip, to prepare him for our upcoming 14 day adventure, and found out immediately the seat belt connector was not going to cut it for this guy!! We bought this seat for him and boy was it worth every penny!! He is so comfortable and happy in this seat... He can look out the window, sleep snuggled up, and even hop around a bit and play while safely seat belted in! But the true test of this seat happened just before Christmas. We were loaded downed down for another 14 day trip, when a diesel truck decided to not abide by the traffic signal..... all airbags in our Nissan Armada were released and the car was an immediate total loss. It was a super scary moment, my heart sunk as I tried to see through the air bag smog to check on my babies! Unbelievably, this seat provided full protection and they came out without a scratch or bump!! Without this seat, our baby would not of been properly seated to avoid such an impact!! We will definitely not hesitate to buy another!

This is a high quality travel car seat for smaller dogs. We have a toy poodle, so it’s the prefect size for him. It’s very durable. Looks good and flows well with car interior. It sits him up high so he can see out of the windows while laying down or sitting up. Makes it easy to fasten him into the car for safety as well. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. 100% worth the extra cost of this seat. We liked it so much that after a few years we bought a second one simply so we could have one in each car. Our toy poodle likes it so much, that I typically keep the one that goes in my car in our home office so he can lay around in it during the work day, so we are able to maximize its usage. That also speaks to how much our dog likes this car seat.

UPDATE: 9 years and thousands of trips later, I still love this. One important thing I wanted to add is how easy this is to clean if there's ever some kind of accident. The entire covering comes off in seconds and I wash it on cold/cold without any issues.ORIGINAL:Was easier to install than I expected, and my dog acclimated to it within 10 minutes or so. It feels pretty secure with the shoulder & lap belts holding it down, and the supplied extension that they include was long enough to attach to the shoulder belt and then to my dog harness's D-ring. This allowed my dog enough slack to stand up (as per their picture), or lie down comfortably and face any directions she wanted. My dog is 13-14 lb Italian Greyhound.I was expecting it to be a steeper learning curve for her to get acquainted with this, but within 5-10 minutes she was relaxed and enjoying it. She typically enjoyed car trips anyway but in 10 years and thousands of car miles she's always been in my lap bundled in a blanket with the lap belt securing her down - not the ideal setup for (god forbid) and accident with airbag deployment or driving stick shift either.This product isn't inexpensive nor extremely pricey, but it seems well made and adequate for the price, I am happy with the quality and also appreciated the lack of superfluous packaging materials.

We bought a 2nd Snoozer pet bed for transferring from one car to the other because our always having to transfer the doggie seat/bed between 2cars and the truck gets old. Our doggie enjoys our cross country travel in our F250 Heavy Duty. The truck allows her to comfortably lay in her bed and look out the windows & windshield over the center console.The newer bed in either of our two cars is not as good a view for her so she finds a way to sneak out the side and onto the car seat. She gets ordered to get back into her seat, which she does. The Snoozers are as firmly tightened to the seat with the restraint belt as possible but sideways escapes are still possible. The good thing is that she cannot fly forward because the connection to her harness is pretty strong.We used to lock her in her pet carrier but that did not make her a happy dog.She likes her Snoozers!

I've been using this car seat for the last 15 years! It is everything that the manufacturer promised! My little God Puppy needed a car seat! Her mem tried several seats, but my baby didn't want to get in it or stay in it when the car was in motion. So I decided to order one for her! Now, when she sees her leach, she knows she's going for a ride! With this seat, she is able to look out the window, sit comfortably, and stays put until she is taken out if it. She loves it!
