Perfect!
I wish I got these sooner. Not realizing that motion sensing light bulbs existed I had initially bought one pricey big brand smart light bulb for my back door. That ended up not working out because it had a hard time staying connected to my home network from outside. I came across these bulbs and thought I'd give them a try. I preferred the PIR motion sensor because I didn't want something overly sensitive that turns on when the wind blows or cars drive by, and these bulbs definitely fit the bill. After their maiden voyage last night when I was finishing up some yardwork as the early fall/winter darkness came, the light only came on when I approached my front or back door, not as I was moving around my yard at a distance, or when cars drove by. It was perfect, and I'm sure it will make unlocking my door when coming home after dark much easier. I also got a couple for my dank spidery basement that I hate going into. It's made it a much less stressful experience since I don't have to look for the lights and anymore. I actually feel safer. We'll see if they last, but so far 5/5 ⭐s. The only drawback was the labeling on the packaging. I bought warm and cool bulbs for different areas and I had a hard time finding the label that said which color was which on the box. It was on there though, just in small print and hard to find, especially since they appeared to come in different generations of packaging.

Work as promised, detects my cats, not bright enough for shadowy garages
Both bulbs stopped working within weeks of each other and at 8 months. The seller replaced them no questions asked since there is a 1 yr warranty. Shipping was a little delayed, but the items were received. Still very happy with the products. New ones have been in about 3 months. The seller mentioned (in the questions section) that the lights sense body heat and will stay on it you're under them. I have not found this to be true. You have to be moving, and near the light (within 10ft) in my garage. ---------------------------- Bought May 2018 and Jan 2019 one stopped working. Had written to seller about the 1yr warranty. Will update. ------------------------------- I use a set of these in my garage where I keep the cat litter pans. They are bright but they are not bright enough to be useful working garage lights. Inside your house or even on your porch they probably would be just fine. If I could find brighter I'd switch them but that's because you always need a ton of light in garages. I do anyway, since we do some woodworking projects sometimes. These lights are a bit shadowy. They are plenty useful for my need to provide motion lights for cats. For that purpose they work great. The cats walk down two steps and get almost two strides before the detector picks them up. It's just about perfect since I was worried it wouldn't recognize them at all. When the humans walk in it's just slightly faster to pick them up. Overall a great, useful buy for my needs but they need to be much brighter to be useful in a shadowy garages it that is your purpose. Garage height 10-11ft, bulbs are about 8ft from each other and work perfectly.

Bought It Again
This is my second time buying these bulbs. The motion sensor works reliably and the light is bright. I use them indoors and they turn on quickly when someone walks by. In my experience, each bulb lasts about two years, which is pretty good. Easy to install and very convenient.

Motion bulbs work fantastic! Used for outside laundry area and front steps!! Great lighting!
I was very impressed with these after I installed them outside for the walkway near the laundry area. Bright clear lighting and will detect motion easily. The dusk to dawn feature is also superb! Light switches never have to be turned OFF now. My dog goes outside at night to do his thing and this helps tremendously. It lights the area up automatically as he walks by and also shuts off automatically. Doing laundry at night is also great without having to worry if I turned off the lights outside or not when I get back into the house. I did remove the light housing to make it easier to detect movement or body heat in all areas. No problems there. I am looking for more like this so I can add in other areas around the house. Good stuff!!

Motion detecting did not work for me!
I originally bought these bulbs for the outside light fixture near my garage door. This outdoor lamp does have a glass enclosure. The bulb did not detect motion and remained dark. I have an unfinished basement where the light bulbs just hang down from the ceiling. I moved the bulb down there and it does work. It will stay lite if there is motion around it. It will go dark after less than 30 seconds if there is no motion. And it will relight if there is motion, at least for a while. After a few hours, it will only work if you flip the switch back off and on again. So the bottom line is this bulb MAY be useful if you have kids or you yourself have a tendency to leave rooms with unenclosed bulbs (like in a closet) and forget to turn the lights off. It will turn off if there is no motion. And if you enter that area within less than an hour the bulb will turn back on. After an hour or so, the bulb needs to have the on off switch flipped again. I am keeping the bulbs to use in the basement as I sometimes forget to turn off the bulbs. My overall rating of 3 is generous!

put these in my garage, they work very well
moved in to a new house and there are no windows in the garage...so it's dark in there they had overhead lights on a switch, but if your hands are full you don't want to use a switch I've had these installed for a few months now and they work very well, the light comes on as soon as I hit the first step into the garage and allows me to safely move through I installed two and followed the directions on height and distance one small con is that they are timed and don't stay on long, but if they go out (while I'm fishing around the cabinets out there) I just wave my arms and they come back on but very cool and useful to me, and the price for two is a bargain!

PARTNER PLEASER
My partner used to complain about me leaving the lights on in my walk-in closet. So i decided to do something about it. My first instinct was to get a motion acTivated light switch, but that wasn't really an option. thats because the switch is outside the closet. But then i found these babies. BOOM! No more worrying about having to turn the switch on or off. No more complaining from my significant other. Problem solved! + So easy. Just pop them in the Light socket. Make sure they are not covered though. + Bright + Great price point + Nice sensitivity to motion + Does well sensing Ambient light. So the bulb doesnt turn on when there is enough light coming in. + Restored some peace to my home. These worked so well that i immediately ordered another set for the garage. Thats the other place that i supposed forget to turn off the lights. Though i dont remember ever forgetting to turn off the lights there... or anywhere else. If you are like me, solve this problem with technology and restore the zen in your home!

Some time the angle of detection is weak
Not a serious problem I saw in this product except one out of 6 which didn't work

Good product with limitation in motion detection
It works great, but for its motion detection to work, the object needs to be very close to it. It can only detect from just within a few feet (like 10 to 15 feet away). I even removed my lighting fixture cover and leave the bulb completely exposed.

They are ok
They work ok. I have 3 of them in my garage, they go on if it’s dark. If it’s even a little bit light (not light enough to navigate the room) they will not go on. I have a window in the garage that I had to cover up in order for them to turn on during the day. They only stay on maybe 30 seconds and sometimes when they turn themselves off and I’m still working in the garage, they won’t come back on even when I’m waving my hands right below it! So if you just need them for a little while and at night, they work great, otherwise they are just ok.

Substandard product
Chinese QC at its best. Observe the "QC Pass" sticker on the box. That made me feel warm and fuzzy inside, until I tried both bulbs. One worked as described: stays off during the day, turns on when it's dark and detects motion. Other bulb just stays on; like a regular light bulb, only that each of these costs you $22. So, 50% defective rate. Well done, QC! Obviously an immediate return.
