Should have bought this first!
I've gone through a couple of grease guns - the Draper ones being the worst. There's nothing more frustrating to be under a car (or whatever) and find there's no grease coming out of your gun!But this one is great - really easy to use and it also features a bleed valve, very important to take the air out periodically. Guns that 'self bleed' are hopeless.Really nicely made and works perfectly.Do note that there's no flexible hose attached - just the fixed metal one. It's a standard size and easy to replace 13mm spanner if memory serves. If you're operating in a tight space, you'll need a flexi hose. This gun takes the 400g cartridges. Easy! Please don't bother with other guns, this one is HIGHLY recommended.

It works
- which is more than I can say for some others I have used (Draper). While pumping the air out after filling, I hit the first grease squirt - six feet in the air across the garage. I don't think the Draper one I had ever worked properly. And yes, it works on the nipple too - very effective and even has a delivery rating so you have an idea how much grease you are squirting in each time. The only point I would make is that its big - in a confined space you may well need a flexible tube to apply.

Works just fine
While it is not quite as bombproof as that greasegun your Grandfather has from back in the day, nothing wrong with this at all dead easy to fill works well and sits in a locker in my lorry, so gets rattled around, a fair bit at times and no issues with it, well worth the money

No instructions and sticking coupler
I KNOW I am not a practical person and there will be many people who would take this out of its box and instantly understand how to load it, but I didn't. There are no instructions and even the company website had nothing. I tried unscrewing the caps at both ends of the barrel,; the cap at the back unscrewed easily, the cap at the front did not move under hand pressure. So I continued with the back cap and when this popped off a powerful spring uncoiled itself, a bit like a python emerging from a dustbin; you know it fits in there, but how the hell do you get it back in?So it was the front cap, which I managed to unscrew with the aid of a vice. Problems over, or so I thought, until the coupler got stuck on the nipple, the third time I used it. I tried everything I could think of, to no avail and in the end resorted to sawing the coupler in half with a hacksaw. That worked but I was a bit put out. I subsequently bought a proper "easy release" coupler and have had no further problem. Looking through the reviews I see that the coupler problem is quite common, so I would suggest that this is not really fit for purpose. Better to charge a couple of pounds extra and put a proper coupler on it.

Initially fell apart, replacement works but leaks constantly (a review after 5 years use)
Bought this for use on a ride on mower.Initially a disaster, the gun just fell apart on first use. Fortunately the seller was helpful and promptly sent a replacement. The replacement has been ok in the sense that it works most of the time. However, the one issue I have had constantly is that the gun leaks while not in use...appears to be from joints in the main body, multiple places. If I leave it somewhere, it will leave marks/residue, so I ended up hanging it on a wall, so now it just leaks down the wall, and I have to put a container underneath it, or I gradually end up with a puddle of grease. I’ve tried tightening everything, to no avail.I have never used these before, and only use it on the mower, so I am no expert, but it’s a messy annoying thing! However, judging by a quick google, it seems that most grease guns leak, so not marking it down too badly for this...so be prepared to get messy!

Lots of reviews about different grease guns not working. ...
Lots of reviews about different grease guns not working. This one just works. Loaded grease cartridge and squeezed 3 or 4 times - all OK.I have not yet used extensively. The reality is I will only use ~ 4 times/year.Note - I did buy the flexible connector separately for this.
