Should have had added a picture really. Just testing it out before summer hits and I tried to set it up in the most hermetically sealed small room possible after running a very powerful PC and getting the room to 27° Celsius took 20 minutes on low to get to room down to 18.9 Celsius I was impressed. If you set it up correctly follow all the guidelines this thing really kicks and moves heat from one place to another as said previously I was quite joyous and amazed with my little physics project but I know I am going to really enjoy it when summer hits the sound is quite loud on high but it is a low a drone and it probably help me to sleep to tell you the truth I have slept with other air conditioning units in other countries and the sound is exactly the same a fan and a compressor unit and it's like white noise to me I'm going to really enjoy this I think. I cannot testify for the longevity but to me the build quality and the design that's gone into this looks above average as in very decent it pulled the heat out of the air extraordinary fast I have only tested it in one small bedroom nearly sealed room apart from the exhaust gases that were exhausting out of the main window the only slight slight pain in the bum is that most UK windows are not sliding windows from left to right they are either pushed out or push in but I bought a solution for that and let me just tell you the physics experiment on thermodynamics with this unit worked extraordinary well. On the unit itself has a very good display cooling settings are only high and low I will probably have it running on no most of the time. The remote control is basic but good the digital display on the unit gives you clear look at the temperature you have set it on the unit is compact which I really like especially because I'll be using it in bedrooms. There is also two methods too train the dehumidified water from the air from the unit you can either drain it all at once as it has a small tank at the bottom where it collects or you can put a pipe that they provided it and fix your own little tank I right now I have a two litre plastic bottle for the experiment but yes very very impressed so far so far so far so good. If you're anything like me and you put your hand on the exhaust vent that is hanging out the window and it's feels like a hair dryer on hi it is quite satisfying and I did this little experiment on January the 20th at 10:00 AM in the morning outside is 2°C wales

Bought this portable AC recently and overall I’m quite happy with it. The cooling is pretty effective for a small to medium-sized room, especially during warmer days. Setup was straightforward, and the window kit included was useful. I also liked the different modes like cooling, fan, and dehumidifier, which make it versatile.It is a bit noisy, as expected with portable air conditioners, but manageable. The remote control and timer functions are convenient as well. For the price, it does a good job and feels like good value for money. Would recommend it for anyone looking for an easy portable cooling solution.

This air con unit was a very worthy purchase. It's a powerful AC unit for its size, we use it to cool our office room which has 1-2 computers running at once, and it has been our saving grace these summer months.As it is portable, we can move it from room to room where we need to use it, and that has been incredibly helpful when needing to use it at night. I would say there is a noticeable noise level that comes from the AC unit, but like anything that is sort of a consistent/repetitive noise, you do tune it out. Where we have ours situated is next to my office chair, and I do just end up tuning it out, so I don't notice it as much, something to get used to.The air is cold set at the lowest temp of 16' and I have used it to blow warmer air out of it when it's not needed to be that cold, and it works exceptionally well. You do need something to catch the water if you're going to be using it on the coldest setting, especially if you have a warm room, but when it's been running for about 4-5 hours, that's when you'll need to empty it, but it's honestly a small task for a big payoff. I would say, I wish the air could blow out a bit stronger, sometimes it's hard to feel the cool air in a larger room, but it eventually does cool the room its situated in. I would recommend this.

With temperatures on the rise again and last summer being hotter than ever we've gone for an AC unit rather than relying on fans this year and what a good investment this will prove to be. Firstly it's on wheels so moving it around is made considerably easier due to the 4 corner casters as well as having side handles to hold. It weighs around 25kg so is moveable but you may like to do it as a pair if you're carrying up/down stairs.The air conditioning unit offers the option of cooling, fan and dehumidifying. We've used the cooling function mainly at the moment but have tried dehumidifying which resulted in a good collection of water.The handy window kit allows you to vent the hot air from the rear of the unit safely out the window and seems to work reasonably well; I think we'll end up getting some kind of foam board to fit our unusual shaped window. The fan speed options are good although I think some may find the noise level a little high if you were using it to sleep overnight; that said we've tried it in the 3-4 hours before bed and it keeps the room nice and cool like when you're abroad on holiday. The fan settings are really good and the highest one really moves the air around nicely. using the louvered front blades you can direct the airflow as you wish, the lever inside to move the flow from left to right is reasonably good but a little tricky to initially find.The remote and buttons are good and whilst they take a little while to respond are absolutely easy enough to use for anyone especially if read in conjunction initially with the instruction manual. The air filters at the back easily clip on and off for cleaning.For ease of use, nice design and functionality we're delighted with this unit and definitely would recommend it to others. It is an investment but it'll do a considerably better job this summer than a fan could. Here's to hot weather!!

As portable air conditioning goes this is a smart package offering cool air circulation, Dehumidifier, and pure fan, capable of cooling rooms of below 215 cubic feet to any temperature from 16 through to 32deg Centigrade. The machine comes complete with a window kit allowing for the interior air to be vented to the outside world without the need of drilling large holes into the wall. There is a choice of fan speeds and as such they are not silent but not annoyingly noisy either, although the noise level does increase with the speed of the fans or decrease depending on your chosen setting. Moving the machine around is easy on the casters although not the lightest of machines due to the cooling elements but moving it from room to room was not a problem.There is an internal tank for the collection of water within the machine when in “dehumidifier” mode and as such needs regularly empties or the attaching of the supplied hose, allowing for continuous drainage where desired.The machine can be run on a timer for a set amount of time controlled from a panel on the top of the machine or the remote control and further offers a sleep mode allowing you to run the machine whilst asleep although the program will raise the temp by 1deg C after each hour of continuos use.Lastly there is a fan only setting that offers no temperature control but does as the name suggests, move the air around very effectively, again the fan speed can be controlled to suit your needs.With all of these features housed in a neat package that will fit into most environments that simply does what it says it can do, then this machine would be a good choice in my opinion….

Fully read all the specs and read all the reviews on this before purchasing. I am still a little dubious on this product. We’ve had it on for many hours over the last 3 days since receiving it and waiting the 24 hours before using. Noticeably the small room it is in becomes very cool quite quickly which was key as this room is south facing and being a new build, holds the heat. However there isn’t a huge difference outside of this room, perhaps naive in thinking it would cool down other rooms next door especially given that the room it is in really is quite tiny. The window is sealed as we bought another kit from Amazon for the type of window we have.I will continue, the days recently haven’t been unbearably hot like we have had last month so perhaps then we will notice a difference then.I do think the machine is very loud, other reviews stated it was bearable and that you could sleep with it on but personally I could not. It is significantly loud to be sitting in that room at the same time.Update on review - 10th augustNot been used in a few weeks due to the rubbish weather but it’s back out now for some relief in the house whilst working from home. Again I am still completely unsure on this. Other reviews on the temperature coming down don’t seem to match what I am getting. My bedroom is a standard size room, just big enough for a double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, desk etc so it’s not considered large by any means. The temperature in this room with the machine going for 2 hours went down from 25.5 to 23.5 so just 2 degrees. I expected more if I’m honest. Yes the room already feels much better but it took so long to get here.Whilst pleased I have it, my desk is also situated next to a window so I could also be just as beneficial catching the breeze from the window instead of the machine making a racket for 2 hours. The noise is starting to grate. I like to work in peace or with chilled music and the machine is just not giving peace.

So, it’s getting to that time of year again when the heat is starting to creep up - and this time I decided to get ahead of the game and get myself a portable AC for a change. I have a mounted AC in the bedroom but the guest room which is being re-done in a month needs some cooling system, hence my purchase.Arrived pretty quickly, always great to have quick & free delivery for Prime members. But it is pretty big, comes up to about waist level and its 24kg - I managed on my own but might be worth having someone there just in case.It is very well packed and protected.Inside you have the remote control, window kit, and manual.Boldly written on the carton is a warning that you need to leave the unit to stand for at least 6hrs after being delivered due to it having gas that might have been moved around during delivery - which I did. The unit itself is obviously plastic but very sturdy - you can tell there is nothing cheap about this. It's really well made. Impressed.To switch it on you simply plug it into the socket and press the button, and presto - its on. (Obviously remember to follow the instructions and attach the hose at the back first )Now there are 3 settings - AC, Fan & Humidifier. I have only tested the AC part till now, and must say its pretty powerful - even matching my mounted AC. Within 20 minutes I had to put on another layer of clothing. Not extremely noisy either.Pros1. Portable (with tires)2. Chills the room pretty quickly3. Remote controlled4. Could be used as humidifier & fan5. Looks great in any room.Cons (If you can even call it a con)1. The water hose attachments work for sliding windows or sash windows, not casement windows. Lucky for me I am getting a new window for the guest room so will switch to a sash window so the window kit can fit perfectly.2. It is not as quiet as my wall mounted AC - but then again it did not disturb me watching a movie, or having a nap.VerdictNo regrets whatsoever - for a fraction of the price I get to chill my room as good as a wall mounted AC. And the knowledge that I have a humidifier as well - cannot fault it.Pretty unit too - looks so posh.

Extremely loud. Does put out some cool air but it’s not as strong as it’s advertised. The air only blows one way, which is a little weird.Overall, wouldn’t recommend.
