She's the main event!
Girl when I tell you this Kitchen aid is beautiful, I mean she's the star of the showww. I got this big money maker as a Christmas gift for my man's and he lovessss this bish, she is heafty and strong. The blue velvet color is just to die for, I ended up loving it so much we use any excuse to use it, making breakfast lunch and dinner in this girl. She is working nonstop in this kitchen, and imma be so for real everyone knows kitchen aids are expensive but during the Black Friday sales and Cyber Monday girl you're getting yourself a good deal ESPECIALLY when you're gifting it for someone who lives with you, just get it you deserve it. I loved this thing so much I turned my whole kitchen blue just to match. Definitely worth the price. And we have a small kitchen too and this still fits on the counter all cute and functional. Anyway yeah I recommend it but I'm one of those people that buys things bc of how they look and that's usually more important to me personally so im just saying the brand don't matter too much, get whatever makes you happy. Especially when you're looking for a specific color or style.

Amazing great for bigger batches
I already have an artisan 5 quart but needed a bit bigger mixer and this is just the one. It is sturdy and powerful for a big batch of cookies or even bread. It is easy to use once you get the hang of it. Coming from an artisan you do need a learning curve on how to put the bowl on and get used ti the speed of it. Love that it comes with a shield this is great for the money it is easy to clean and very sturdy

Powers through 6 cups of bread dough like nothing and looks great!
My old 325watt 5 quart Kitchenaid has been struggling with kneading bread dough. I've rebuilt it once but it still sometimes would stop and hum. It's still fine for everything else, though loud. We have had it, for, I believe, over 25 years. For Thanksgiving, I made fresh bread (delicious) but had to do all the kneading by hand--this is why old-time bakers all had big muscular arms--it's a workout! The old machine will go to one of our offspring because it still does everything else better than a hand mixer, and probably any other mixer. This machine is 500 watts, and 7 quarts, and comes with the regular beater, squeegee beater for things like cake mixes, a wire whisk, improved pouring shield, and a pig-tail dough hook, a huge improvement on the old flat hook. First time making bread (NEVER go over the #2 speed!) it powered through the dough quietly and only after many, many minutes got a little warm, where the old one couldn't be run for more than 2 minutes at a time (when kneading dough) with a minute or two to cool each time. I didn't even have to do a final hand knead!Despite being bigger and stronger it actually doesn't take up much more real estate than the old one and feels a bit lighter surprisingly, although still very heavy. Lots of little improvements: A nice knob on the lifting jack handle, a better-looking brushed nickel knob on the speed control over the old black plastic one, and 11 speeds rather than ten. The pouring shield is now one piece rather than two and enclosed on top rather than open, and works very well. They even upgraded the power-takeoff locking screw and cover. Finally, they added a cord wrap when not using it.So far, the only drawback is the handsome textured matte black finish: flour gets stuck on it much more easily than on the smooth finish. I do not know if the other colors are the same or smooth, but this was the right color for our kitchen.

Best mixer for sourdough breads!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this mixer. This is my 3rd Kitchenaid mixer and each one has been more powerful, and more expensive, than the one before. I bake a lot, especially sourdough breads, and this size has become a necessity for me. The way I look at it is that if you’re going to make a loaf of sourdough that takes about 24 hours total, why not double or triple the recipe so you can have extras stored in the freezer, or give to a friend/neighbor. The mixer is big!. I bought a little slide for this which you really want to get to go with it. It’s heavy and you’ll probably need to keep it on the counter top. To make it slide-able is a game changer!. The machine works like a charm.

OVERHEATED!!!
My wife got this for me June 12, 2025 for a Father's day gift... Needless to say I do a lot of baking and use my mixers a lot... I noticed on my first use the motor getting hot but not nothing out of the ordinary because my first kitchen aid did the same thing. But on my second use it over heated 10 minutes into my bread making and just shut down. Not as hot as the first use but still hot on top. I always wondered why Kitchen Aid would not put in gills (cut slots on the back) to alleviate the heat produced by the gears and or motor when the mixer is working. Don't make sense to not have that. Anyway unfortunately it just stopped all together and I had to send it back for a refund. Only had it for barely a couple of weeks... I've had my other Kitchen Aid for years and never had any problems with it, I mean it would get hot at times but never stopped working. It was a work horse as they say... I was so looking forward for this bigger and badder Kitchen Aid 7 qt machine but instead I got a dud... Good thing I didn't give away my older Kitchen Aid (and smaller one at that). Kitchen Aid I hope you start engineering your mixer's with those gills on the back so the motor can breath would be so much better. I know people who have bought Kitchen Aid mixers and they all say they get hot or little warm if you run them for 10 minutes or more... so I know I'm not the only one that knows this. Anyway so sad to have to send it back. I was so looking forward to using this 7 qt. machine... :( :(
