Chef Aid Large Commercial Grade Stainless Steel Skimmer

Honestly, this product is one of the most versatile in my kitchen. Although its primary use is for frying food (which it is great for), I like to use this as a strainer as well. It works great for straining pasta, with the gaps being a decent size. The product is lightweight and of great build quality. Overall a great product!

Bought this to help make plantain chips, very useful for keeping things from sticking and drains well when you’re done and taking them out of the oil.

Purchased a similar item when self- catering on holiday in Portugal in February 2018 from a local Chinese market shop.Worked O.K for a couple of months, then the handle came lose rendering the item useless.Having found it an invaluable asset when using the deep fat fryer the Chef Aid skimmer has now filled that gap.Great for use when frying bread-crumbed chicken, whitebait, chips or battered vegetables, foods are easily lifted from the frying oil with only minimal oil leaving the fryer.So far this light weight item shows no sign wear ( purchased June 2018 ), still looks good and also washes up well in the dishwasher.Well recommended budget item and a sensible price.

This is as described, too big for house chip pan tho.Great for lifting veg when blanching in large pan.Would love the same one; only smaller

I have been after one of these since my local Chinese supermarket closed down. Subsequent trips to other shops (including large chains) resulted in disappointment or blank looks by the staff. Clearly, I was misinformed when told this was a "Chef's Spider".Now that I've actually got my hands on one, it is indispensable. Deep fried chicken balls, chips, croquettes, all are quickly rescued from my wok without drama. It is great for getting loose bits of batter out the oil to stop them burning. It also saves on washing up, why dirty a strainer and serving spoon when you can strain, drain and serve?Why call it a skimmer though? If you tried skimming fat from a dish with it, you would be very disappointed. So I'm sticking to my guns and calling it a spider, and anyone who wants mine can prise it from my cold, dead hands.

This skimmer is a great size it’s a lot bigger than i expected too be honest and before buying it I was wondering why it’s so much money but I can definitely see why now I’ve received mine its a great utensil for the kitchen and it’s really nice to use it serves out food really easily and I highly recommend it it seems very strong and sturdy too it should last well with the quality of the product being quite high I’m very pleased with my purchase overall

Bought this all stainless steel basket skimmer and haven't looked back, dishwasher safe ( bonus ) large basket helps to scoop up whatever your cooking, never had one before but wouldn't be without this now, no more balancing stuff on a fish slice / slotted spoon !! Great to drain off fried foods, easy to clean, well made, brilliant, would buy again without hesitation.

Der Schaumlöffel tut wozu er gemacht ist. Geeignet zum Frittieren oder zb. Kartoffeln aus dem Topf zu holen. Hitze macht dem Produkt nichts aus und er wirkt auch stabil genug um lange zu halten.Preis Leistung ist sehr gut.

Der Schaumlöffel eignet sich sehr gut, um beispielsweise selbstgemachte Spätzle oder Nudeln aus dem kochenden Wasser rauszuholen. In der Spühlmaschine lässt er sich auch prima reinigen.Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt definitiv.

Ottima per scolare gnocchi, pasta e fritti. La dimensione giusta: abbastanza più grande delle solite schiumarole, ma non tanto da non entrare nelle pentole. Nei negozi in genere non la si trova. Lavabile in lavastoviglie (che è imprescindibile).
