A waterproof box that actually is waterproof
When it says IP68 it actually is IP68, unlike other junction boxes I have tried. The screw holes are OUTSIDE the rubber gasket, like they should be, so no leaks through the screw holes. The screws are painted mild steel so will rust like other reviews said. I replaced them with stainless steel so no problem (although my screws were slightly larger so I had to drill out the fixing holes to fit - no big deal). The terminal blocks are the lever clamp type which are basically useless - I replaced them with a standard 3 way screw terminal block which worked perfectly. Unless your cables are the exact size of one of the 3 sizes of grommets supplied then you will have to do what I did and increase the diameter of your cable by wrapping it with electrical tape until it fits. This may all sound like a lot of work but it really isn't and you do end up with a waterproof junction box that actually works. I bought two different boxes from eBay which turned out to be absolute rubbish. This Amazon box is now working perfectly on my fish pond pump.

Pretty good, though maybe ask a professional
This is a pretty good product, especially for the money. I'm not a qualified electrician, though, and I'd be careful with anything used for a permanent outdoor installation. For temporary jobs – Christmas lights in my case – it seems fine. It's strong and rigid enough to screw to a wall as long as the surface is flat.Sealing is great with cables around 7–8 mm diameter and using the smallest of the three sleeves. Silicone grease helps when pushing the cables through. I'm not convinced it would be easy to seal much thinner cables (I think they claim 4 mm). Thicker ones would be fine with the larger sleeves. The screws holding the lid on are self-tappers, so you might not want to take the lid off too many times. The gasket has one flat side and one ridged side, so after dropping it I had to guess which way up it should go.Only two 3-way connectors were supplied, which isn't enough if you want to avoid pushing two conductors into one hole. I used three 3-way Wago connectors instead.

Quality product
Quality product that actually is IP68.Seals that DON’T weather and crack like cheaper modelsOptions to cover a wide range of cable sizes by using a choice of 3 different seal rings that don’t rely on nesting within each other.Simple cable connector, just open up, slip the cable in and clip back down. Fits flex and cable alike. If I had accepted you get better quality for a little bit more I wouldn’t be replacing all the junction boxes I fitted a couple of years ago already.

Quality product
Item is securely packaged and feels a quality item. All literature is well designed and easy to read any images are clear and easy to understand.Box provided a suitable space for the cables to be fitted and the multiple seals allow for various cable sizes to be used. Connecting cable feed for sunken drive lights.Still haven't buried the junction box but have no doubts it will maintain its integrity once covered.

Quick ad simple to fit
The internal wiring is a bit fiddly to fit with three wires and nine tails to deal with but if you take it slowly and logically it is not too much of a problem, although it does help if you can make the connections and then place the junction box in position rather then having to work with the box in situ.I fitted it in a greenhouse and it works well. The various size grommets allow you to create a tight fit and it appears well built, strong and has decent waterproofing features. It was a reasonable price and seems good value.
